Um, I would like to report something rather strange that happened to me. I finally got around to some serious work on my tulpa, going with the Wonderland approach, and while I was working on the second trait, I suddenly heard a voice say You know I can hear you know, I kid you not, from what she told me (took the form of my OC Snow, as planned), apparently she has been hiding in my subconscious mind, being slowly developed without my knowledge, as I roleplayed with her in the Theater ever since I first read about these things. Now she wasn't a perfect cookie-cutter of my rp Snow, but it was rather strange to say the least. I did not expect this to happen at all, didn't even read anything of the sort on the guides and such. I had a full, unforced, conversation with her and now here I am, left with the biggest headache I've had since I had a 103 degree fever a few years back, and my arms are literally shaking as I type this. How I know it wasn't just me talking to me, she even laid down ground rules for while we shared a head. I've never felt this before, and since she went back to the wonderland, I feel strangely alone in my head. What do you guys make of this?

I'm not sure what you mean by "roleplay" with her, but generally RPing with a tulpa is ill-advised, same as creating a backstory for them or parroting/puppeting them, although some have theorized that parroting/puppeting can help kickstart sentience.

In any event, it seems as if your tulpa is now sentient and vocal, congrats. If she laid down some ground rules, then I would probably discuss those with her and make sure they're rules you can both live with. I haven't really heard about too many tulpae doing that, but maybe yours has a more assertive personality than most. Not really a big deal.

Chances are, you won't feel her for awhile. Whenever significant events happen with tulpae, they usually disappear for a couple hours or even a day or two. It seems to be pretty common. Keep talking to her anyways. If you find she is not around for your next forcing session then try to manually recall her, and if you have trouble take a really, really cold shower, drink a large glass of orange juice then try again. I have no idea how its supposed to help but people who've tried it says it works.

As for the headaches, that happens, they'll go away eventually when you get used to having another consciousness share your mind, but you'll probably still get them for a while every now and then.

...so, how long have you been at this?

I was actually haven't been rping with her persay, just doing what I usually do in the theater section of this site. And After I talked with her the first time, I didn't hear from her from about 4-5 hours, then she dropped back by for some small talk. And I already knew about the headache thing. And I actually haven't been truly tulpa-forcing other than that first time. I did some minor attempts, but it was nothing serious. And yes, she is very assertive. Let me give you guys some of the things she demanded: No cursing while we are talking, a better wonderland to reside in (Right now it's merely a small house on a very very flat grass plain.), among other things, but I'm fine with them, just going to have to get used to having rules for thinking essentially. And I've found that while it is kinda annoying at first to be sharing a head with somethi-someone that can read your thoughts, feelings, etc, you will feel quite lonely once they are gone.

So what do I do now? This kinda blew the guides out of the water for me, so I'm just trying to chat with her as much as possible before continuing on. Though one part does stay open for, the letting her browse my memories so we can better know each other, but I'm not going to do that for awhile at least.

Dont parrot it.. that might have happened. Let the tulpa talk on its own, try that.

We're actually discussing this over on the tulpa.info boards, the fact that the guides say sentience won't happen under at least 25+ hours, when that just isn't true. Actually many tulpae have said they remember things very early on in the process, some from their very first forcing session.

Basically, if you aren't sure if you're parroting or your tulpa did it, then it was your tulpa. If you're sure it was her, then it definitely was.

What to do now? What else do you do when you meet a new person? Get to know her, spend time with her. Teach her stuff, share things with her. Put a library in your wonderland that contains all the books you've read, put in a TV that plays all the shows you've ever watched, put in books that will teach her language and vocabulary, build her a bigger house, go on wonderland adventures with her or just sit and have long discussions and get to know each other better.

I did. Like I said, it randomly appeared, kinda hard to parrot something you weren't expecting, or can talk at the same time with...

    - - Auto Merge - -

Ya, I'm very sure it was her, and she already asked me to build her a bigger house on the wonderland. I'll see how this develops from here, still kinda weird to think I have two sentient voices in my head, my own and her's.

This interests me, but having ADHD and autism means concentration span is non-existent..
In a way though, that could maybe make it easier... *shrugpony*

There are several people with tulpae over on the tulpa.info forums who have either ADHD or autism.

    Just throwin' that out there.

I think since usually people with either are quite creative, that could be why.
In any case, it's attracted my interest so I'll check it out.

You guys remember Jonny, from Ed, Edd, and Eddy? Plank was a Tulpa created by Jonny. In an unofficial interview with Danny Antonucci (Good luck finding it though. It's years old and lost in the depths of the internet.) he even stated that Jonny had no friends and created an imaginary friend called 'Plank'. Plank eventually turned into its own 'being' in a sense, telling Jonny what he should do, basically being the voice of reason, yet having its own moral code and emotions itself. (Such as when Eddy pulls a scam, Jonny usually doesn't really care, but Plank 'convinces' him that it's the right thing to do to bring justice/revenge. Hence Melonhead.)

    Just food for thought.

Well, it sounds about right, thing is, a tulpa is another consciousness within your mind that is sentient. I haven't heard of anyone being able to give sentience to an innanimate object, or whether or not it is even possible.

I've looked at several guides and I think I'm going to try this out.
Would keeping a journal of progress (such as definitions of traits, visualisation progress) help me at all?

Well I'm tired but not quite sleeping yet, so I think I'll start now while I'm still awake and I'll write down what I plan to put into it before, then when I wake up, I'll write what I said to it. If you catch my drift.
