I think it's very obvious what's going to happen now. Twilight will have the chance to be an alicorn, there'll be sad moments where she's almost separated from her friends, but then she chooses at the end of the episode that her destiny can wait, so she stays in Ponyville. There's a scene in the commercial where they all hug whilst wearing the Elements of Harmony which we have yet to see in the show...
I hope Twilight stays true to that character. That's a Twi I can be faithful and proud of for not being a beeyatch and adbandoning her friends to become royalty. I feel sorry for the others being excluded from such an honour. I mean, didn't they ALL do a great service to Equestria together? Even I admit my least Favourite character still deserves to be treated the same as the other five. Or maybe the offer is the last test of Twilights lessons of friendship? To adbandon royalty and prestige for the sake of remaining with your friends is a pretty big feckin decision, and a very honourable one.
According to EQD & others one of the upcoming MLP Playsets has an Alicorn Twilight in it, but if you look carefully at the Picture, the wings, look kinda Flimsy, my guess is they are snap-ons simmilar the the Glitter -Butterfly *whatever the heck their called* wings that one of the Rarity toys comes with *based off her wings in Sonic Rainboom* Also, suprised no ones made that joke about this being no big deal since in a way Rarity became an Alicorn for an episode in season 1 XD, now its Twilights turn LOL. http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-RE55JqzAp-c/UP8yn4o2bYI/AAAAAAABP9g/LYHyJgzIcyU/s1600/Capture.JPG But yeah, even toys & stickers don't mean much, we know Hasbro makes toys for one shot characters & events, Gilda has a PVC Figure even though she's only been in one episode same goes for Hoity Toity & Phot Finish, the Butter-fly winged Rarity has a toy. Basically Hasbro will make toys for anything they can make money off of, its been stated by Hasbro themselves the Alicorn toys are hot sellers, I wouldn't be surprised if they made Alicorn versions of all the mane six over time. Doesn't mean Twilight or anyone else will permenantly become an Alicorn in the show *least not till the series finale* But yeah The show writers themselves have stated Twilight will not become an Alicorn *least not for good* So no need to panic people, if it does happen, probably just be a one-off.

BURN IT WITH FIRE!!! *Honeslty i'm just creeped out by baby dolls in general though XD* Also I wouldn't be suprised if Twy was crowned a princess she's Celestia's Student and her Brother is a Prince now since he married Cadence, seems the Prince/Princes Title in Equestria comes to anyone related to the royal family *I mean look at PRINCE BlueBlodd, technically he should be a Duke, just like Cadence should have been a Duchess, but meh, those words don't sale toys, prince & princess do! Oh boy. This is apparently it. I don't have any problem with the concept (in fact it really makes sense based on the story surrounding her so far). I am just concerned that a new fandom I just joined and has brought me needed joy over the past few weeks is going to be destroyed. I trust these writers to do things the right way. I just hope the rest of my fellow Bronies do the same. Let's watch this play out and not judge any books by their covers.
And so Twilight was a princess, grew wings, beat RD in a race, bucked apples harder than Applejack, and developed a better fashion sense then Rarity. Yeah, I'm overexaggerating, but we'll just have to wait and see how this turns out. Alicorns are supposed to be extremely powerful, so I wonder how Twilight is going to level up.
I sense a lot of growing pains for Twilight. If I have her character traits down she isn't going to be too comfortable with them at first. There might also be guilt because her other friends don't have those same powers.
Right, I hope this is a very rocky transition -- because there's mad story potential here. First, she'll have to pass some kind of "princess test" of course. But she'll also have to learn to fly(!), learn to relate to her friends from her new equal-but-more-equal estate, find a new role for Spike... The writers could spend all of season 4 working out the ramifications if they so chose. But they'll at least get a few episodes, hopefully.
That's exactly what I am hoping for. And I hope we don't have to wait all the way until late next fall for new episodes. That would be torture.
ARISE TWILIGHTAMUS PRIME!!!! All I can say is I am both excited & scared by this. Also, poor Rarity, she must be so jealous, not only did she not get an episode this season, one of her best friends is becoming a princess. Hurry Rarity, now's your chance, marry Spike & weasel your way into the royal family through that XD!!! But in all seriousness depending on how they play this out it could be awesome or horrible. *My guess is a bit of both*
