I'm not happy about this. She's smart. Wonderful. I didn't know that's all you had to be to become an alicorn. Fluttershy should hit a few books...show them who deserves to get a horn.
She's not just smart. Twilight is remarkably talented with magic, and she's grown into a natural leader. And don't forget she's faced down some pretty impressive villains. Sure, her friends helped. But she went toe-to-toe with Nightmare Moon and she was the one who braved Sombra's traps.
Considering that Luna and Celestia are sisters, I always just kinda assumed they had a family line-type monarchy going on over there. Never thought about the possibility of getting in on merit. Well, we'll have to see how it plays out, but from the description and stuff I doubt she actually becomes a princess. Anyway...
I saw this somewhere and it basically summed up all my thoughts. I hope the episode's good, but it's been hyped/set up poorly.
Well this is mostly the culmination of all her growth through the series so far, not just this season. But yeah I have no doubt they had to speed-up Twilights Alicornification a season or two so Hasbro could make new toys. But thats no reason they can't still right awesome stories! And again this could open up alot of new fun things to explore in season 4.
