"No. Take that answer as you will." It was not her place to rat Frozen out, but why hide his nature from someone he trusted. "Now that I've ate, to bussiness?
Lotus nodded and motioned for Megan to follow her. They exited the noodle shop and trotted down the street towards Lotus' alchemy shop.
As they head to Lotus's place of bussines, her earlier question popped into her head. "Do you have family?"
"Not a problem," she said. Soon they entered a dark oak building with a sign above it labeled 'Lotus' herbs.' The interior smelled of dry spices and ingredients lined the walls.
Megan looked at the shops name. Not the sort of name she was expecting. "So what were you looming for again?"
"Yarrow. I have both dried and fresh." Megan's horn glowed as she summon to bushles from her storage space. The nice thing about her storage space was everything existed in stasis while inside. She could putba steaming bowl of noodles inside and when she summoned it out agian it still be just as hot. "Feel free to inspect their quality."
Lotus did, and was pleased to find they were of a superior quality. "Interesting indeed," she said, "They are quite fresh. I will take all that you have!"
"Well I'm not a greedy mare so what ever price you believe would be fair is fine with me." This was a fairly simple transaction so far. "Wait did you mean all I have out or all I have total. I have another two bushel each of both dried and fresh." Not that she had a problem parting with her inventory, but would Lotus be able to use it all before it went bad?
"Everything you have!" she said with a giggle, "It's a secret, but Frozen has this method of freezing ingredients for me, until I need them!"
"I know a pony who can do that. Funny thing is the pony I know isn't even a Unicorn." Ice Crystal was a rather ineresting citizen of Horse Head Bay. Magic was normally something that only Unicorns could do, but in the bay there were a few stallions and mares who could do one spell each. Using her own 'magic' she summoned the remaining four bushels of Yarrow. [More than a few G1 Ponies had magic in their story on the backboard of their packages.]
(interesting, didn't know that) "Frozen once mentioned he hailed from the crystal empire," she said, "do you suppose that is why he is the way he is?"
"Er, I do not mean to sew seeds of mistrust between you and your apprentice, but the Crystal Empire and all its residents have been in a state of limbo for the last eight hundred years." Really how foolish was Frozen Heart? Maybe word of what happen to the Crystal Empire hadn't spread to Chineigh, but surely a traveler or to might have called him on such a farce.
Lotus blinked, pausing a moment to consider what the mare had said. "You seem to have suspicions about my apprentice's nature?"
"To speak truthfully I have no question of his nature. Maybe you should? I do not think he is a bad pony, definitely a bad liar though." She was well aware of nature, the problem she seemed to be having was not out right saying it. She used to be so much better at deception. This time trip needed to end soon, before she corrupted the time line. [Had a bit of trouble thinking of how to reply. Megs has been giving way too many spoilers.]
"You are right." She need to change the subject. She needed to finish the transaction, and most importantantly she needed to get out the shop before she said anymore about Frozen Heart.
