They're all labels. I'm acknowledged through many different names, but I'm me. Even so, I believe the term of identification, "Brony", is unisex. You're you.
we actually had same topic not long ago personally, I don't see where the big problem is. if girl fan wants to be called brony, I call her brony, if she wants to be called pegasis, then I call her pegasis. I know girl fans from both sides, so I don't see where's the problem. on end of day, we're all mlp:fim fans, however we're call each other. (although, in day to day, I usually call my friends by names, so I don't use pegasis or brony on day to day talk. maybe brony sometimes, but then referring on group of people not one individual.)
>Pegasister Just because it sounds like it's for Pegasi and your a Pegasus doesn't mean it's not for Earth/Unicorns. It's pretty much an optional or some-what preferred term that some females like to be called while others prefer the unisex one that we all know and love. Anyways, whatever floats your "ship." TwiDash :Trollestia: Personally if I were in your shoes I would not give a flying feather to anyone that talks about you (or in this case, I, because I would be in your shoes) negatively, etc... (Not a flying feather to anything) /lurkmodeactivated . . . P.S: Obligatory Derp Face. :derpe:
Sinderlocke, you seem pretty cool. Wanna be friends? All of my IRL female friends who like MLP call themselves Bronies as well as Pegasisters. Me, I just call them Bronies. I mean, on the internet, people can be as anonymous as they want, so why not just call them by what they want anyway? I've even known people who identify as one gender, even when they were born as the opposite, and they prefer to be called by the pronoun of their preferred gender. Honestly, whatever you want is fine with me. This reminds me of how, whenever one of my close female friends jokes about how we have lots in common, I'll say "It's like we're sisters." Even though I'm a guy, I really don't care about that sort of thing. It's all good fun. If someone insisted on calling me "she" instead of "he", I might even be okay with that.
I wouldn't take offense to it. It's probably only a few more years before all of the sexism surrounding the internet is eliminated. Women just tend to gravitate to different subjects or communities than men is all. I have taken a liking to being referred to incorrectly or in variety. In WoW, I used to joke about the evolution of my name, its spelling, parodies, and pronunciations over the years.
Sinderlocke, You can call yourself a brony. No one is stopping you here or anywhere. If you wanna be called a "Brony" Then by George, your a Brony. I'm not liking the fact we label genders. Seems silly and stupid, if you want my opinion. Just Ignore the commenters of Youtube. They don't klnow what really brony is in the first place.
I don't think I can add much, this wonderful community has already covered. So, as a piece of repitition: Forget them, you can eat all of those apples. Or...something.
