In a life or death situation, I would certainly eat meat. No questions asked. But, if there was any other choice, even going hungry for a certain period of time, I wouldn't eat it. I'm a bit of a tree-hugger myself, with a dash of hippie in the mix. Yes, not all vegetarians are like this, but being a vegetarian has certainly changed me as a person, even in the smallest of ways. There's no denying that.
I tried to be vegetarian for a little while, but couldn't do it. I might try again some day... I don't eat fish, though. Never. Ever.
This post is post-marked to show up to-day, but was written 9 days ago: ^ Likewise. I just can't take neither the smell nor the taste of fish.
After reading your fancy, albeit long, accusation of labeling and whatnot, I have but two things to ask. Firstly, is it truly labeling if one does not make conclusions based off of it? If you read the post carefully, even with the keen eyes of the debater, you will not see a single conclusion made besides ones that are obvious, and for the most part, true. One can not say one labels vegetarians by saying that they are vegetarians, or by saying that the concept of vegetarianism does not make sense. At most one can be said to have an opinion, and in a tolerating community, voicing opinions is as important as respecting those of others. Secondly, a simpler question. Are you just doing this for debates sake? If yes, cool story bro.
