His name is Grogar, and he's a demonic goat necromancer. In the G1 series, he tried to capture all of the ponies with the intention of banishing them to the hellish "Shadow World."
Just an idea, what if one of the mane 6 became a villian somehow for the finale? I think it'd be pretty interesting.
Ok, if it's an Alicorn Amulet/Nightmare Entity situation when one of the Mane Six gets possessed by an evil force, then that's OK, but one of the Mane Six willingly turning evil would break the entire basic premise of the show (six Ponies of the purest and noblest hearts who stand by each other at all times).
Yeah I agree. I think it would give off a different feel than other villians because the 5 other ponies would be hesitant to go against whoever it is instead of already hating the villian and having no problem taking him/her down.
That's not my point. My point is that one of the Six turning against the others willingly not only would be out of character for her, but it would go against the overarching message of the show ("friends stand by each other at all times"). It would be like one of the Straw Hat Pirates turning into a Marine and helping hunt down the rest of the Jolly Roger crew.
My bad, I phrased that poorly. I meant I agree with what you said about one of the mane 6 being possessed, then talked about why I thought somepony turning evil would be a unique situation.

Ah, I've never read the comics so I wouldn't know. And I think it's definitely possible for her to return, as the writers usually aren't shy about bringing fan favorites back.
