I'm glad you got that settled, but, on the other hand, while the suspension was over very little, there is a possibility it didn't violate any rights. After all, there is a matter of the syllabus and other legal contracts signed by entering the school, many of which call for an agreement that if a student shows significant disrespect to a teacher, that teacher can do a number of things with full rights, even if the disrespect comes in the form of free speech. Now, I don't know the subtleties of your school, but it is perfectly possible that if you have a teacher or administrator that is particularly peeved (either by the lack of patriotism or the show of disobedience), that it would be in their legal rights to administer according punishment. That said, it is completely disproportionate retribution, and utterly stupid, I'm glad they dropped it.

Timur, that may be true, but the Supreme Court all ready ruled back in 1943 that a public school cannot force a student to pledge nor stand for the pledge of allegiance.
lol All countries have something strange about them. In my county we have two main parties that fight at elections, the African National Congress and the Democratic Alliance. When it comes to election time the things that they do to get votes is HILARIOUS! They started gate crashing each other's meetings and campaigns. A...N...C When I heard that I laughed so hard I nearly died Not only that but they said that they will buy everyone who votes for them a BMW M-series. It gets funnier. The ANC then said that they are God and that if you vote for the DA you are voting for the Devil... The DA hired the best private investigators in South Africa and uncovered info that said that the ANC was accepting bribes. The Private investigators were so good that they also found out that the DA was accepting bribes from the SAME people. Election times are my favourite times of the year as you get to see all the crazy stunts that the election parties pull against each other. Oh and I'm glad everything turned out all right Saiko. I'd hate to see oppression on my fellow Brony for no good reason.
They always complain about spending, yet they had no problem with spending money on the wars, and possibly going to war with Iran.
Heh with MY government the money goes to funding the government houses and Expensive cars instead of going to fixing all the under privileged schools and sick people. Makes perfect sense
