^ True. I Imagine after a while you would get used to it. One question about the Immortality thing. Can you still get hurt or are you Invulnerable as well? If you are then that changes things a bit. If not then that would suck if you get your legs amputated and have to wait 100 years to get robotic ones.
I'd pick love yes, immortality is tempting, but what's point of endless life where you can't be happy in love. wealth, simple, not everting is money.
Wealth - Money changes people, usually for the worse. Or, perhaps, I should say it enhances what's there. However, it does give you freedom - freedom from worry, most notably. But, as long as I got a roof over my head, and food in my tummy, I'm not worried. Love - Hmm, what is love any ways? Are we talking about some one that worships and adores me? I'm not sure I'd want that. Just some one that, well, loves me? I got that. And if she died tomorrow, I'd still love her. Immortality - Ah, life everlasting. Time to do anything and everything. And - living without fear, for nothing can kill me. No risk. No danger. Not sure if I can get hurt in this with this power, but even so, I'll heal. Even if it takes years and years. What's years and years, after all, if I've got forever. But without risk or danger, life would loose some of its meaning, I think. Not much, at least for me, as I'm not big on jumping out of airplanes or climbing mountains. Of the three, I'd take immortality. I know, what of love? Well, my loved one will die any ways, with or without me being around. Will I miss them? Certainly. Will I love them less? Never. Will there be other people to love? Of course. I'm not a big believer in "soul mates" to be honest. Wealth, well, as I said, as long as I got a roof over my head and food in my tummy, I'm fine. And since I'm not immortal, I don't really even need that.
Immortality. If you are immortal, you are beyond time, or will at some point in your infinite lifespan become so. At that point, all it takes is imagination, and if you can't do something, like make others immortal, then you only have yourself to blame, not lack of time, or other petty things like that.
Love, either of the other, are poisoned gifts. Immortality? Seeing anything you love die? no thanks, wander in the scorched world of the far future? hover in the darkness past from sun gone supernova? Infinite cold, and not dieing, Infinite darkness, vacumm, cannot breathe but living? Sounds like hell to me. Wealth? Same as above, but in earth, feeling alone, but surrounded by empty souls, feeling affraid of everything and everybody...
Immortality Wealth doesn't really bring happiness in reality, and finding that one special love is just some dream that floats in people's minds but would take an eternity to find that special person
Immortality is probably my best guess. Wealth is nice but doesn't it really make you happy? Nope. Money can only stay with you for so long till it all gone, then you hit rock bottom like everyone else in this world. Love? Well to me love can be a joke, sometimes. Finding that True love that everyone searches for is gonna take you forever and with immortality, you got all the time in the world to do that and just the fact that, yes, your loved ones will die but they be a special memory in your heart. You can't hang on too your parents forever and friends come and go.
Love. Love is the best thing out there. I believe that strongly. I do not understand it, but I know that It is the greatest thing out there; 100%.
I don't consider myself a particularly greedy person. I'm definitely selfish, because everyone is by nature, but I'm not necessarily greedy, so wealth isn't too appealing to me. While having money to spend on whatever I like would be nice, it's not a wish I preoccupy myself with much. I would literally go crazy if I were immortal. I don't think I'd be able to deal with being trapped in my own existence for an eternity while everyone and everything around me fades away. Plus, what happens when I am literally the only being left on the planet? The isolation would just be too much for me over time. So that leaves love. Although I've never been in love and don't really know (and probably will never have a definite answer for) what love is, it's still a very appealing idea to me and I like to think someday I'll find it. Not if it's simply infatuation or obsession though. In fact I really don't know what exactly my reasoning is in preferring love over immortality or wealth since I don't really know what love is. I guess it just seems like it would be more personally fulfilling to me.
To quote Kamina, the manliest man of all time: "Throw logic to the wind! Just do what feels right, and drill at it till you break through! That's how Team Gurren rolls!"
Immortality by far. I guess I'll sounds either stupid or horribly selfish after saying this, but that's something I've wanted for over 10 years now; Time to do anything and everything you could possibly want to do. I can see why some people wouldn't want it, but I'd personally love not having to worry about how much time things take, and what I do with my life (As much anyways). As it is now I can't stand wasting time. :\ Some of you know my standing on love, so I'll let those you know fill this in. Wealth can be obtained through immortality, plus Wealth can't buy you time, which is something I've always wanted more of.
To elaborate on previous post. That is as close as you can get to an absolute answer, I think, since one can interpret that for any of the answers. With infinite time, one can get through anything. With infinite wealth, one can disregard anything. With infinite love, one already broke though and won in their own eyes.
Well, I wouldn't chose Immortality. Who would sensibly want that? Your family and friends would die off, and you'd continue to live, never being able to rejoin them. You'd distance yourself from everyone, and become totally selfish. Eventually, you'd think that, since you're immortal, you can do whatever you want, and just exist through the consequences. The temptation would inevitably get too great, and then, bam! You're wanted in twenty states. If someone who isn't evil became immortal, they'd eventually become evil. I wouldn't choose wealth, either. A smart enough person can get that kind of money on his own. I'm well on that path. I would choose love. I used to believe that I would find "the one." She never showed up. I'd give anything to feel like that, again.
@ people claiming that immortality will corrupt The beauty of it is, you won't care, yes? Sure, you'll go insane, or become the evil overlord of the universe, but you will not feel this happen to you. To you, it will be as if nothing changed except for everything around you, and you will be able to justify each action you take to yourself. No restrictions. Not from yourself, not from time, not from others. You are the perfect Sith. The perfect being.
Immortality. It'd help with my 3 life goals which are; 1 - Become Immortal. 2 - Become God. 3 - Turn everyone into cats for a day.
