(My mind keeps saying Jessie should become Spider-Man's sidekick, but we all know he doesn't have one.) Jessie move slightly to the side as Peter came up. "He did? Well, nothing wrong with spandex... Still, hilarious. Mainly cuz he's gonna meet the same fate with a couple freshmen."
"Dammit! We could have taken him! I just know it..." Jessie sunk his head and followed Maggie. Blueblood laughed. "You wimps should keep running. It's good for your health. Punch you next time, clown!"
"Oh, great, there'll be a next time." winced Maggie, shaking her head. She walked to the billboard. "Hey, there are choir tryouts!" she said, excited
Peter walked into homeroom. "I swear, whoever the spandex guy is, we should all give him money when we see him."
"Please. He fights without showing his face. He's just a performer who decided to take his show on the road. He doesn't deserve money for that. It's nice that he was a good guy, but if I had been there, Blueblood wouldn't be breathing anymore. He's a damn brute, and so is Mr. Spandex." Jessie followed Peter and dropped into his desk lazily. "Fight without a mask, and still put on a show. That's how you make a point."
"You're right, we shouldn't be giving the guy money, he's a freaking superhero!", Peter continued. "I mean, the idea of a guy is spandex coming out of nowhere couldn't have been imagined. But Blueblood said he was having a friendly chat with Star Shimmer when it happened. My theory? Blueblood was bullying Star when this 'Spiderman' came and rescued her."
Star managed to get away from Blueblood long enough to follow the others to homeroom. Her eyes widened in surprise as she heard Peter's theory. That's exactly what happened! She stood in the doorway for along while until she came back to her senses and went to her seat. She watched her classmates until her eyes locked on Jessie. He's a performer, he's brave, he was quick enough to avoid Blueblood's punches.... Thee as just one thing left to confirm: She had to hear his voice again.
Adam walked out of the room, free of the burden of carrying the instrument. He walked by Blueblood on his way to homeroom. "Ok, just slip by..." Adam thought. It was too late. Blueblood had already seen him. He blocked the rest of the hallway and approached Adam. "What do you think you're doing, runt?" He asked, in a strict tone. "Getting to homeroom. Now back away before I take after Maggie and jam something in your eye." Adam retorted, sarcastically, before running towards Blueblood, and sliding under his massive body. He then sped up to a running speed, and darted for homeroom. He made it with some time to spare.
Maggie went through homeroom thinking about the choir tryouts. She was excited, no doubt. They were today, after school. - - Auto Merge - - (time skip to lunch?)
(Poor Australian Crimson, he missed a night, a dawn, and almost a day (of the dead.)) (I need to stop making cruddy media references...)
Jessie smiled at Maggie. "No need to worry. If he goes after anyone it'll probably be me. Just make a break for the door and I'll smack him with this." He pulled out his juggling club and spun it casually.
"Hey, I got it covered." she said, laughing nervously. Despite her brave words, her blue eyes darted around, searching. Blueblood was hanging by the garbage can. She cursed.
"You wouldn't happen to have a heavy coin or anything, would you? I learned a new trick last night, and I want to try it out." Jessie smiled at Blueblood, who still hadn't noticed them.
Blueblood didn't see Maggie or Jessie when they entered the cafeteria, but he did appear to be looking for someone. He turned his head this way and that until he saw her: Star Shimmer. ---- Star's day had been going fairly well up to that point. The highlight of her day so far, besides Jessie saving her from Blueblood's clutches, was the fact that after Literature class, Medias Res pulled her aside and asked her about joining the Literature Appreciation club. "It's not terribly popular," he'd said. "But I'm sure that you would make a good addition." He even refrained from calling her 'Juliet', which actually brought a smile to her face. But then she caught sight of him... She stopped for a moment until he made eye contact with her. "Hey, Sparkles. C'mere. You remember what your dad said..." Star sighed and rolled her eyes. Under her breath, she muttered, "If my dad told you to jump off a bridge, would you do it?" "Here's hoping, right?" Suddenly, Star felt a light jab in her ribs. She quickly turns and saw Mr. Drims standing beside her. Oddly, she hadn't even noticed that he was there up until that point. He grinned at her. "The rotter can take a long walk off a short pier, if you ask me." This got a chuckle from Star. "Why is he such a jerk, anyway?" Drims leaned in close. "Between you and me, it's probably because he's related to Celestia. Believe me, I dealt with her for years..." This was a little too close for comfort for the young student. She politely excused herself and made her way to any table except the one where Blueblood was sitting. When she sat, she looked at the place where Mr. Drims had been, only to find that he was gone.
"A coin?" asked Maggie, thinking of the one the janitor had given her. For some reason, she was hesitant to use it. "Maybe we should just try to avoid the fight?" she said.
