"Sounds like the best course of action. If you want I can drive him there." Jessie pointed to the vehicle with the large white cat in the back seat.
"That would be the best route to take, web slinging is too dangerous in his current state, I'll meet you there.", Spiderman said before starting to web sling his way to the hospital.
Jessie helped Maggie carry her father into the front passenger seat. "Don't worry about Cub. He won't bite." Once Maggie was in the back seat, they were off.
Peter was in the ER waiting room, he had them bring a stretcher into the waiting room to speed up the process.
The doctors placed him on the stretcher, and carted him off to the ER. Maggie tried to follow.. "Please wait here, dear. We'll send news as soon as possible." "But..." she began, but the nurse had closed the door. She faltered, then turned around.
Jessie sat on a chair in the waiting area with Cub at his side, slightly scaring some of the workers. "So... What happened?"
"I came home, and someone had been in the house. Someone grabbed my arm, and I saw my dad. I kicked him in the..... Well, I kicked him, and left with Dad." said Maggie sitting down, trembling a little.
Peter knew he had to say something, he knew what she was going through.. "Maggie, no matter what happens, we're here for you."
She looked up, and gave a weak smile. "Heh. Thanks." She sighed. A nurse came out. "Your dad's going to be fine, dear. He'll just have to stay the night with us. You can go now." "Oh, ok. Thanks." said Maggie. The nurse left. "Well, I'd better get home, then. I have to clean up the house.."
Jessie shook his head. "You need a place to sleep after this. Somewhere you won't get mugged. I'm guessing Spider-Man probably has a secret lair you could stay, right Peter?" He smiled and looked at Peter. "I'm going to find out the deal with the costume super-hero."
Peter sighed "Looks like a don't have much of a choice. It all started a week before my uncle died. I was taking the tour at the Oscorp Biolabs. Apparently experiment #42, a spider, escaped and bit me. The next morning, I was able to crawl up walls, had amazing acrobatics, enhanced strength and reflexes. The whole package. Then when my uncle died at the hands of a mugger and I realized that with great power comes great responsibility. So I built a pair of web shooters and became Spiderman."
"That's intense. If you ever get tired of the hero thing, my parents would pay good money for those web things." He smiled. "That's a good way to deal with a bad circumstance though. I wish you luck being a hero and junk. I'll keep being awesome in school."
"Sure.", Peter said. "I already webbed up our culprit, but haven't called the police. I thought I'd give you the honors of doing that."
"You two have fun. I need to get home... See you tomorrow." Jessie waved to them before rushing out followed by his tiger. They got in his vehicle and took off, rushing.
