"Yes I'm sure.". (Time skip) After the cops left, Peter did the unexpected, he grabbed Maggie's hand and whispered in her ear "Kiss for the hero, gorgeous?"
Maggie was startled when the hand reached for hers, and even more so with the whisper in her ear. "Ugh. Don't call me gorgeous, it makes me think of Blueblood." she said, laughing a little. Adam had arrived at the Orchestra class room to retrieve his bass and the results of his tryouts. He opened the storage closet and found the bag with his name written on it in silver sharpie. He picked it up, slung the straps over his shoulders and walked out to find his results. "Mrs Octavia? I'd like to know my results from tryouts." "Just one second Adam, let me find my clipboard..." The teacher responded, opening a cabinet at her desk and pulling out a results sheet. "The results say... you're in! Congratulations!" She said. Adam felt a feeling of pure joy when he heard the words come out of her mouth. "Yes! I won't disappoint you!" He said as he ran out of the classroom. Half an hour later, he arrived home and finished all his school assignments before telling his parents the results. "That's great!" His dad said, beaming. "Good job honey, I knew you would succeed!" His mom chimed in. "Thanks mom, dad, it was you who taught me how to play in the first place!" Adam said, before walking upstairs and turning on his PC.
Star had taken notice to Peter's chuckle during lunchtime, and as she walked home from school, she replayed it in her head a million times. It was exactly the same. I know it was! But...something... "Hey, Sparkles!" She was suddenly snapped from her thoughts by the sound of Blueblood's voice. As she clenched her hand into a tight fist, she came to the realization that if she never heard the word "sparkle" again, she would die a happy person. The sound of quickening footsteps caused her to stop and turn; sure enough, Blueblood was racing to catch up with her. Surprisingly, he didn't grab her arm. "What?" Star asked, not a hint of kindness could be heard in her voice. The hall monitor brushed back a lock of blonde hair and flashed a slick grin. "C'mon...why do you have to be like that? You just don't realize how good you have it yet." Star huffed and turned away from him, continuing on her way home. "Enlighten me." A slightly evil part of her knew that if she came to harm while under Blueblood's watch, her father would end him. She kind of hoped Spider-Man would show up again. Blueblood trotted to catch up with her, then replied, "I mean, c'mon!" He spread his arms as he walked backwards in front of her. "You are in the presence of the most powerful student at Canterlot High! Not only that," he continued as he wagged his finger at her, "I got connections. You need a report written, or the answers to the next test, I'm your guy!" He smiled broadly at this, as if it was a major accomplishment. Star was less than impressed. "What about my friends? My real friends? Jessie, Peter, and Maggie?" Blueblood blew through his lips. "Pfft. Who needs 'em? You got me now!" He returned to her side, and gave her a light pat on the back. "Just gimme a chance, Sparkles, and I'll-" Star Shimmer suddenly stopped dead in her tracks and glared at Blueblood and said, as forcefully as she could, "If you value my companionship as much as you claim, you can start by calling me by my given name: Star. Shimmer." This caused Blueblood to stop and blink several times while Star continued to glare at him, clearly fuming. After several moments, the larger teen replied, "Um...can I call you 'Star' instead?" The girl considered this for a few moments, then replied, "Yes. That's acceptable." ----- Blueblood ended up following Star Shimmer all the way to her house where they parted ways. Blueblood even called out a few words of farewell as he left, which brought a slight smile to Star's face. After entering her house and finding that her father wasn't home, Star sighed and searched the fridge for leftovers, then, finding something suitable, she put it back in the firdge for later and went up to her room. Anyone entering her room for the first time would thing she had just moved in that morning, despite actually having been in town for a week now. The walls were bare, and the only notable pieces of furniture in her room were a small writing desk and her bed. Her dresser sat to one side of the room, completely empty; her clothers were still in their boxes, neatly labelled with a black marker, "Star Shimmer Clothes." Such as it was with all of her possessions: "Star Shimmer Books (of which there were four large boxes, one for reference books, one fiction, one non-fiction/non-reference, and one for gaming manuals), Star Shimmer P.P. (two boxes filled with newspapers and collectible figurines in the shapes of various characters from the show, 'Pretty Pegasus'), Star Shimmer School (one box filled with school supplies), and a small shoebox filled with knick-knacks that had sentimental value to her. She reached into her "P.P." box and withdrew three of the figurines, the characters "Tiddlywinks", "Ricochet", and "Butterbean". She held them in front of her and said to them, "I suppose I may as well let you three out, huh?"
(Oh my god. That's it. Star officially owns all of my yes.) Jessie arrived home to see his (very large) family standing in a semi circle. He approached them hesitantly after leaving his vehicle, and they all looked at him. "Have you been getting into fights at school?" Jessie glanced side to side and knew the school had to have called or something. "Yes." "Were you fighting for someone other than your own benefit?" "More like someone else's defense... but yes." "Did you win?" Jessie was shocked to hear this. "Well. I'm still here, aren't I?" He was suddenly surrounded and being applauded like some sort of contest winner. "You did good Jessie. We knew you'd do the right thing." He shrugged and smiled as he was carried into the tent. Interesting night.
(Time skip for Peter) Peter walked through the halls, a smile on his face, he no longer cared that Spiderman was viewed as a menace, he had saved multiple lives, had great friends, and had a great ... girlfriend? semi-girlfriend?
Maggie swept up the house, when she heard a crunch under her feet. She looked down, and cursed. A picture of her and her mom was under her feet. "How did that get in here?" she wondered, putting it back in her room where it belonged. (Hm.) Maggie's mother had left 11 years ago, when Maggie was 4. She tried to take Maggie too, but the court ruled in her father's favor, who had the old house, at the time. That was when everything fell apart. Her father started getting alcoholic, and Maggie was scared to leave her room. School was a blessing, even though she had to walk, or bike everywhere. It was a refuge. A safe haven. Maggie sighed, as the memories flooded in. She looked at the picture on her bedside table, and put her mother and herself facedown. "Why'd you have to do it, Mum?" she said softly. (Time Skip for Maggie.) Maggie went down the hallways of the school, a little nervous, a little shy.
Peter saw a poster "Fall Formal coming soon." If I didn't have a responsibility to protect the city, I would ask Maggie out to that . ------ Time:??? Place:Oscorp Biolabs Date: ??? "Commencing experiment #92" Filthy Rich sat in the chair, as chemicals entered his body, if this worked, he would be the most powerful human ever. Strong as an ape, Fast as a rabbit "Something's wrong, too many chemicals are entering his body at once, this is why we should've used a test subject first!", a scientist yelled. The CEO started to shake as he turned green. His face morphing into something hideous. Another scientist gasped when she looked at the body statistics. His hair was falling out, his eyes were turning yellow, his muscular status was off the charts. He broke free of the maxi-glass in the containment unit and grabbed the scientist. "Get me a mirror."
Peter saw Maggie and immediately turned around, trying to delay the inevitable by blocking the poster by standing in front of it. "Hey.", he said.
"What are you doing?" she asked curiously, spotting the poster. "Are you hiding something?" she said, with a smile playing on her mouth.
(I was going to have it so that the first Spider-Man vs. Goblin fight would happen during the Fall Formal on the news, but I just got a better idea) Peter thought for a second The police could handle crime for one night, but I also have the responsibility of caring for Maggie He then put his hands up. "Looks like you're too smart for me." He stepped out of the way to reveal the poster. "Wanna go?"
"You have to remember, with my responsibility, I'm a very busy guy, I thought I couldn't go, but I can always make time for you.", Peter said.
Star saw dozens of posters declaring that the Fall Formal was fast approaching. She sighed, knowing that it was just another social event that she wouldn't be able to enjoy... Every guy at her last school was too afraid to ask her to any functions due to being afraid of her father. As she wandered down the halls, watching the other students talking excitedly about the formal and who they were taking, or planning on taking, she became more and more annoyed until she wanted nothing more than just run through the school doors and never return. I'll just do what I did last year...Another evening with Butterbean and her friends.... She sighed, then muttered, "Even she has a romantic interest..."
Stephanie was ecstatic with the news about her role in les mis. As soon as she saw it on the sheet she could believe her eyes. It was Enjolras, sure it wasnt Marius but she realized that a homosexual relationship wasn't technically accurate. She was even more exstatic to see Maggie's. "She must of been good to score that role?" she thought to herself. As she got home she told her parents and sister straight away all were highly thrilled for Steph. She then proceeded to do her usual routine before heading onto Facebook and adding her new found friends.
Maggie poked him playfully. "Heh. I appreciate that. Hey, I'm going to go check the drama list for the play. Do you want to come?" (This is going to sound weird, but does anyone have a preference for the role Maggie gets?)
Adam saw posters for the fall formal plastered on the walls of the hallways. "We're not even a week into the school year and they're already planning?" Adam thought to himself. "I guess I'll go if my friends are going..."
