Star smiled and nodded. "That sounds good." Her hand slid out of Jessie's as they made their way to their respective seats. Mr. Fancypants was going over some class noted when the bell rang. RING!!! Fancypants nearly leapt from his seat. He slammed his book on his desk and cried out, "I thought Mr. Drims fixed that! It sounds louder!" After collecting himself and clearing his throat, he stood up and announced, "For those of you who stare at the floor while walking through the halls, one of the biggest events of the year is quickly approaching: The Fall Formal!" He then cast a sly glance toward the girls in the classroom and added, "And by extension, The Fall Formal Princess contest. Remember, if you want to be considered, you have to submit your name before the end of next week. All classes are allowed to join, and in fact, over the past four years, a Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior all won, respectively." He mumbled, "Granted, the same student won three years in a row..." After clearing his throat again, he concluded, "If you think you have what it takes, by all means, please enter!" He clapped his hands once and returned to his seat.
"So, I saw you got Cossette. Anyway congratulations though we won't be in many scenes together seeing as I got Enjolras. Anyway do you know who you'll have to fall in love with. Aka the guy who's playing Marius." she smiled before thinking about what dress to wear for the fall formal.
Peter frowned, even though he always found the sound of the bell funny He grabbed a pencil and wrote something down before putting it in his pocket.
"Oh god, no, Didn't even think about that." She said, after shooting a confused look at Peter about the paper. "Do you know?"
(Time skip to after school for Peter) Peter got out of the car. "Thanks for the ride Aunt May!", he said. "Trust me, she's going to love this.", Aunt May replied before heading home. He looked up at the Fancy Sign. 'Canterlot Ring Commissioning.' When he got up to the counter, he said. "Could you fill out an order for a non-engagement ring within two weeks, just a little something to show I care?" He pulled out a check for a hundred dollars and gave it to the clerk. "We'll do our best.", the clerk replied, Peter thanked her and left the building.
Maggie shrugged, and turned her attention back to the teacher. (Time skip to lunch) Maggie walked over to the cast list, and breathed a sigh of relief. Not Blueblood.
Peter waited for Maggie to arrive at the gym. He had promised her dad that he would show Maggie the time of her life. He wasn't in his usual casual wear, but instead a tuxedo with his hair combed back. But most importantly, he had the ring he commissioned her in his pocket.
Maggie entered the gym, a little bit scared. She was wearing a blue dress, with the color of a robin's egg on the bodice, and deepening into a dark navy blue on the bottom.( There, I'm done. ) She saw Peter, and crossesd over to him. "Hey." she said, brightly.
Peter smiled and replied. "Hey." He then pulled out the ring and slipped it on her finger. "Listen, I've been thinking about what you've said, and I realized, my job is dangerous, so I got you this so that even if I die, you'll know the following three words will always be true." He then whispered in her ear "I love you."
Jessie rang Star's doorbell, dressed in a deep purple suit. "Let's hope her father is here. I want to have a word with him, about Blueblood." Cub sat next to him on the curb, licking his paw. "Why did I bring you?" Cub seemed to shrug before running back to his mother's van and jumping in the window of the passenger seat. He whistled slightly as he swayed forward and backwards, standing on the front step of Star's home.
Maggie stared at him in astonishment. Taking a small breath, she hugged him, her head on his shoulder. "I love you too." she said. "Thank you.You didn't have to do this. It's extremely sweet." With a small huff, she pulled back from the hug, and looked him straight in the eye. "You'd better not die, Peter Parker, or I will definitely kill you."
Just as Jessie had hoped, the door was answered by the large imposing figure of Mr. (No on called him by his first name) Sombra. He had the look of the final boss in any number of popular video game franchises. He was scowling, his eyes burning with a seemingly perpetual fury. In other words, it was a normal day in the Sombra household. He let out a low growl before stating, "Let me make one thing clear, Jessie, I'm only allowing this because my daughter insisted the she goes with you and not Blueblood." He remained in the doorway like a great sentinel as he added, "She is not ready yet. You will stay here until she is." ----- Star was indeed not quite ready yet. In fact, she still wasn't sure that she wanted to go anymore. The last few weeks leading up to the formal had been rife with tension between Jessie and Blueblood; so much so that for a few days the previous week, she steadfastly refused to even be seen in the same room with either of them. Not to mention the fact that someone had put her name on the ballot for Fall Formal Princess against her knowledge...and because of Blueblood's influence, she was in the top three as of yesterday. Knowing just that made want to throw up. Trying her level best to contain her nervousness, she undid her trademark pigtails and let her hair fall over her shoulders. She stood in front of the bathroom mirror in her black dress. It reminded her of something a business woman might war for a black tie formal... Her dad picked it, or course. She would've preferred something violet and sparkly, but as they say, "C'est la vie."
"Of course sir." He smiled slightly. The door shut loudly and Jessie sat down quietly. He looked up to the upstairs windows. "Blueblood. He isn't much of a protector since I keep beating him up. Of course, I doubt Mr. Sombra knows that..." He laughed slightly to himself. The past few days, despite Star's attempt at avoidance, Jessie had fought Blueblood 4 times. Each time he simply avoided everything Blueblood threw at him. He pulled out a mirror and fixed his hair quickly.
Star descended the stairs after hearing the door slam. She had finished preparing for the formal by putting her hair up in a bun. When her father turned to look at her, he smiled slightly. "You look beautiful." This made Star glance downward and reply softly, "Thanks..." Sombra opened the door and Star walked up beside him to find Jessie on her doorstep. She smiled meekly and raised her hand in salutation. "Hi," she said softly, blushing.
"Madamuasel." (i have no idea how to actually spell french so...) Jessie took Star's hand and kissed it. "The Eiffel tower prays to match your beauty." He swung her out into a twirl and caught her leaning back. "Don't worry sir. I'm sure she'll have a wonderful time, and be back at a reasonable time." He smiled and turned to the side, pointing to the van. "Our transport, awaits."
Star giggled when Jessie kissed her hand, and blushed deeper at his Eiffel Tower comment and gasped when he twirled her around. Sombra growled slightly but made no objections. Star got into the van first and upon seeing Cub, she reached out her hand and scratched the tiger cub's chin. "How's the little cubby-cubby?" she asked in a baby-talk voice.
