Peter was resting in his bed when he saw someone run by his window, it looked like... Maggie? Peter ran out of the building and started to chase after her. He then noticed the blood on her hand and his eyes widened "MAGGIE! WAIT UP!", he shouted.
As soon as Spider-Man left the scene, Star was quickly bandaged by a nurse. "Is there anyone I can call, sweetie?" the nurse asked. Star simply nodded and told the nurse her current phone number. After dialing, the nurse handed the receiver to the young girl. This is what the nurse heard then: "Dad? N-no! It's not serious...it's just a bruise. I'll be f- Dad! No! Please don't! It's okay, really! I- ... Okay...I'll see you soon." Star then handed the recoever back to the nurse and muttered, "He's coming to pick me up. May I sit outside?" The nurse replied, "Sure thing, hon." As she led her outside, the nurse smiled and added, "He's just worried about ya." Star nodded and sat down on a nearby bench and waited for her father to come get her.
Maggie heard the call, and turned, her breath halting. Her muscles tensed, and she was in a defensive position. She then hazily seemed to recognize him. "P..Peter?" she asked There was an ugly gash on her head, and her eyes weren't focusing.
Peter caught up to her with a worried expression on his face. "Are you okay!?", it was a stupid question to ask, but Peter was worried sick.
"I.. I don't know." she admitted. She held a very pale, and very shaky hand to her head, and winced. "I can't tell." She shook her head, and glass fell out of her hair.
As soon as Peter saw the glass fall out, he knew a simple first aid kit wouldn't do it and pulled out his cell phone. "Hello. 911? We need an ambulance ASAP! ", He told them his address and picked her up, carrying her back to his house.
"I'm fine!" she protested, her blue eyes widening in surprise and worry. "Please.. don't call anyone!"
"Maggie, listen to me! I don't care how much the bill is, me and Aunt May will pay it. Point is, you're not fine, you're bleeding and pale, and as your friend, I have a responsibility to help you, and I never ditch responsibility."
"You don't understand.." she said, shaking her head, with more glass falling. "They'll..." she trailed off.
"For your benefit!", Peter then had an epiphany, "I get it, you're protecting someone. Maggie, listen to me, I know what it's like to lose someone, my uncle, who was practically a father to me, was shot before my very eyes. I know what that kind of pain is like, but if you don't cooperate with the police and paramedics, then ALL of the people who care about you will lose you."
Peter then gave up "You know what, Maggie, fine, I'll cooperate." He said, but Spiderman won't, is what he was thinking. "You'll spend the night at my house." He carried her back to his house, his Aunt May was an ex paramedic. Maybe they could fix her up.
(Okay, I think we should skip to the next morning for Eluuna and Peter, since the only other option is a surgery scene) Peter woke up, last night was a long one. While walking to the kitchen to fix himself some eggs, he saw Maggie sleeping on the guest bed in the living room. He smiled after noticing her breathing was back to normal. He didn't notice earlier, but she was actually pretty cute. He felt himself blush knowing he had just saved a pretty girl. He shook his head Peter, if you develop a crush on this girl, Jacob will hate you even more., he thought.
