"She just won't leave me alone, she tripped me in front of the whole class and she stole my bag and ripped it up then she blamed me for stealing a science beaker so now I have detention." she cried hugging her only friend tightly.
"I know your teacher. Let me go in and talk to her. I'm a good kid to everyone except bullies. And the history teacher. He was begging for that one." Steel said. He walked in and then walked out with a pass. "This is for me. I carry your stuff for the rest of the day. Go trade her your piece of paper for this one. She overheard everything and said she would move you two apart. Is that alright? Do you want to keep your detention?" Steel asked, joking on the last two statements.
Mae wiped the last of her tears away and hugged him, "Thank you Steel, never have I had a friend like you." she said smiling shyly and picked up her books.
"Nuh uh...don't get me in trouble. Pass says I carry your stuff for the rest of the day. Also means I get to sit in on your classes. Your teacher wants me to be her eyes today, alright?" Steel said, taking her books
She quickly took a spiral notebook in top and blushed shyly. "I-ill carry this.. its um m-my notes for h-history" she said giggling nervously and holding the red notebook tight.
"Okay. Not seeing any connection between you wanting to carry it and it being notes for a class you already had, but...whatever makes you happy." Steel said, smiling
"I-its um.. complicated.." She blushed and nervously pawed at the ground. "Um we should get to class." she said just seconds before the bell rung. She's hurried back inside, hiding her still red cheeks behind her mane.
Steel walked in and showed the teacher the note. "Ms. Gold? I'm sorry for your predicament. I'm glad you have such a good friend though." He said. Steel smiled and nodded before sitting in the seat behind Mae. "Being at the front of the class is sucky. Ponies always want you to talk. I'll only talk to you in class once you've finished your work. I want you to do well. Alight?" He said in the time before the class started.
"don't worry about me, I'm a straight A student" she smiled. She looked nervously around the room and finally relaxed when Raven wasn't in the class. "Thank goodness I don't have the devil on my tail." she murmured to herself.
"Quel est le problème avec ça?" she giggled talking in fluent French. "don't worry, I prefer to keep you in class with me, me being the new student and all."
Steel quickly hugged her. "I'll do anything for a sweet mare like you. You're a nice mare, and I won't stand to let you get picked on." He said and sat down, laying his head on the desk
"Th-thanks." she blushed. She opened her notebook and quickly went to a clean page before he could see the other pages.
Class ended and after Mae packed up her books she gently woke him up, "Steel?" she whispered and nudged his shoulder "Class is over, i-i don't have a 6th period unless you do."
"Oh ok, i-i would love to." she smiled and followed. "Let me put things in my locker and ill meet you there ok?"
