When i try to play L4D2 or portal 2 the following happens. The games stars normally The menu works normally. BUT!When i hit load game or play. The game loads normally. Then a black screen appears and the audio repeats over and over,then my computer crashes. Anyone else have this problem? I have i windows 7 64bit. EDIT Here are the specs. Hmm.. I don't have this problem... About the same specs as you though, Slightly worse even.. Did you try verifying your game's Integrity through steam? Defragging perhaps?
I did. Nothing. I found a possible solution on the steam forums that tell you to delete a few files and verify,Im doing the right now. EDIT:It appears to be doing something steam said.ONE FILE HAS FAILED TO VALIDATE AND WILL BE REDOWNLOADED. Odd because i deleted 2. EDIT2:It seemed to redownload both files. EDIT3:It works now!
