Yclept made his way back home within minutes,*Well, I guess I should bring my map and keep searching for the way out.*, & he was off
Calla fell asleep at the pond and only an hour later her pack found her. Rio snuck up behind her silently with a devilish smile on his face. He made a loud bark scaring Calla awake and throwing herself into the water. She crawled out and tackled him angrily. "What the hell Rio?!" She snapped. Rio squirmed free and fell over laughing.
Yclept stayed up all night, exploring the forest around the dragon mountain, then feels as if something chaotically funny had happened, but he shrugs it off.
A few hours passed and Calla and the pack were back at their den. Rio and Siro were wrestling in the back and Luck and Aurora were both at Calla's side as she chewed on a bone. Luck lifted her head and her ears perked forward alerted, then Calla did the same, the forest was quiet.. to quiet. No birds, no rustling leaves not even a gust of wind.
After Yclept makes it back to his tree house, he puts away some things, then he studies magic in a certain book that he found on a dead unicorn, a few weeks ago.
Calla slowly rises and Luck and Aurora do the same, the stayed close as Calla cautiously ventured out more into the wood. She sniffed the ground and curled her lips back baring her teeth and snarled. "There another pack.." she said. Luck snarled and went back to fetch Rio and Siro, knowing a fight might break out. She returned shortly and Rio was first to speak. Can you tell who it is? Calla shook her head. A pack has the ability to open their mind to other members making communication easy in long distance. A bush to Calla's right moved and Calla launched on it in a heart beat. Her paws met another mass of fur taking it by surprise. The wolf below her coward and whimpered showing respect for the alpha. It was just a pup, no older then 3, Calla let go of the pup and it coward more into the bushes whining.
Yclept heads off, & finds approximately where he was when he got tackled, but doesn't see or hear any life, so he continues on
Calla! Look out! Luck screamed when a sudden mass of fur rammed into Calla's shoulder. Calla snarled and bit into her intruder, the wolf yelped and leaped off of Calla as she landed on her paws. The wolf in front of her was a golden red and it had a scar over its left eye and its right shoulder was stained crimson. Calla leaped again biting down on the back of the intruders neck making it turn and bite at Calla. They fought for a few more times, with Calla winning in the end, "Your not welcomed here!" she snapped, the wolf got up keeping weight off its front right paw. It growled but finally spoke, *This isn't just you pack Calla.* the wolf collapsed again leaving Calla more confused. Aurora gasped, Calla that's Bane! she barked and stepped in front of Calla protectively and growled at Bane. Bane was the male alpha that left Calla when the pack first created.
Yclept herd a yipe, & started to hustle towards it, and thinks,*heh, good thing I brought some potions.*
Calla moved passed Aurora and looked over Bane, "It became my pack when you left with your tail between your legs." she growled showing her teeth more. Bane looked at her angrily at first but his look softened, *I never left ya Calla, i was need someplace else.* Bane was met by the pup from earlier surprising Calla more. Siro came up behind Calla and growled at Bane, Siro was originally in Bane's small pack before. "That's crap, you were needed here to lead this pack." Calla attacked again with frustration, she bit down on Bane's hurt shoulder and he yelped again but attacked back this time getting a good grip in Calla's back leg. Luck barked and attacked Bane too, making him release Calla's back leg.
Yclept heard another yipe, then remembered to put on his scent removing spell, then saw a few wolves, & hid in the bushes to watch. (you should delete one of the double posts.)
Calla finally retreated back leaving bane with more wounds, *You were always a decent fighter..* Bane winced as he tried to stand up. "Now either you leave here and never come back or Ill finish what i started." Calla growled. Maybe we should keep him for a bit Calla Aurora nipped slightly at Calla's jaws begging to keep Bane. No, we cant. No matter how badly Calla really wanted to keep him with them, she just could rick the pack getting hurt again.
Bane snarled at Calla and tried to attack but Rio and Siro held him back. *Whats wrong with you?* Rio snarled at Bane. Calla stood back thinking and waiting. Bane showed his full teeth now, *Rio i demand you let me go* he attacked Rio forcefully tearing into Rio shoulder then Siro attack Bane. All three males went at it, fighting to either protect their alpha or the females of the pack or simply both. Calla barked fearfully, pulled both Rio and Siro away.
Yclept thinks,*next time he attacks I should stop him with magic.* (next time bane goes to attack, he's gonna freeze then fall down)
Bane stood up and glared deeply at Calla. "As I've said before, you've brought this on your own.." Calla stepped forward. Bane snapped his jaws at Calla threatening to attack again, but Calla knew she could easily take him down in the state hes in. Bane tried his luck again and leaped towards Calla but before Calla could react, Bane stood frozen in mid air.
Calla eyes widened and she drastically looked around for the source of the magic, "What?" the pack huddled around all keeping each other flanked in a tight circle watching the trees.
Calla growled, "What was that?" the pack broke out into a defensive stance all waiting for something to happen. No signs of fear filled their eyes only anger and determination.
