What do you want to see in Season 4?

The reason I want to see Gilda was cause of how cool she looked. I always like bird characters in cartoons (since she is part eagle). Plus I feel that the Gilda part isn't complete since she use to be Dash's friend, now she hates Dash, as well a strong hatred towards Master P, and most likely, the other ponies. For some reason I want her to try get her revenge, and then the Pony Gang ruins her plans.

 

The same thing I want to see all the time, different locations and awesome scenery.

Also a Princess Luna episode set in the dreams of ponies would just be down right awesome.

 

AJ has had quite a bit of screen time this season, more than all the other ponies actually. She's had a speaking role in every episode (none of the other characters have had a speaking role in every episode thus far) and she's the only pony besides Pinky to send a letter this season. She also had her own song.


For season 4 I'd like to see fewer continuity errors, fewer brony shout-outs, more of the characters being multi-dimensional (depth) and no more Babs Seed.

 

Are you kidding? Who's saying that? She's had 5 episodes: Applebuck Season, Over a Barrel, The Last Roundup, The Super Easy Cider Squeezy 6000, and Apple Family Reunion. She's had more episodes that Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, or Pinkie Pie.

 

When it comes to the Mane 6's role-episodes, we need more Pegasus-based episodes in S4 (RD and FS getting a lot more episodes, specifically FS), also more Twilight episodes, Applejack to have some episodes, but she has the most besides TS. I would even like a couple more RT episodes, even though she is my least favorite, but I am beginning to like her more. And of course Master P needs more funny, silly episodes and maybe more 'deeper' stories.

 

Exactly. For example, the reason I hate Derpy is because of her rabid fans always crying about her even though she's just a dang background pony. She's never done anything productive in the show, and yet people love her more than they love very well developed characters like the princesses, the CMC, and even the mane six themselves.
*Before The Last Roundup, everyone was crying "please give Derpy some time in the spotlight"
*After The Last Roundup they were cheering "aw yeah you listened!"
*After they changed her scene they started crying "how could you do this to us?"
*Now, everyone is crying "give her an episode"
As a background character I have no problem with her, but as a fan icon I loathe her entirely. People need to just leave the writers alone and stop telling them how to do their job. After all, if they had been doing a bad job before they started catering to fans they wouldn't even HAVE fans to cater to.
Seriously, before fans start whining about things the show needs to improve, they should remember that THEY'RE the ones who became fans of the show IN SPITE OF these "problems".

 

I think Rarity needs more of the spotlight (of course), every one of the ponies this season had their own episode focussed on them, except for Rarity. And her episodes are just brilliant. Tabitha St Germain has one of, if not the best voice in the show, and the morals in Rarity's tales have always been some of the best:

And those who say Applejack needs more episodes or screen time, or that she's a background pony have to be joking. She's had like 6 episodes, if you include the one where she saves Spike's life which is highly centred around her. She's not overshadowed, I didn't stop watching The Last Roundup as soon as I saw Derpy, I watched the whole thing, and I'm sure most people did.

Animation, voice acting and stories considered, Studio B always do an ok/good job, some stories are hit and miss, but that's to be expected. If I could think of a storyline I'd like to see though, I'd like a peek at what the princesses do at the castle, Luna needed to adjust after 1000 years of being away, and Celestia's day might be more busy than we think.

 

I do like the idea of a day-in-the-life episode based on the Princesses, nods to those who suggested it.

And I have to agree with Poetic, moar Rarity is needed. Sisterhooves Social is probably one of my all time favorite eps.

Fluttershy needs more screen time too...all of it. hehe


And I would *really* like to see the CMC finally get their cutie marks, although I'm still on the fence as to whether or not that'd be a good thing.

That wasn't the message of that episode; the lesson is to always remember that you are the product of your home and your friends. In other words, as Mufasa said in The Lion King "Remember who you are".
