You can customize linux to look just like Windows 7 or XP. Basically the only thing holding me back now is software/game compatibility... Ok this is off topic, back to desktop posting.:derpe:
My actual desktop look like this : I can't remember where i download it (I nevertheless dl it today i still can't remember sorry) View attachment 1998
My desktop pic. Showing it without the icons because they don't matter. Shame on them. And yes, i drew it.
Looks nice but i don't like those High Resolution Wallpapers it doesn't fit for mine my only can be reach at 1280x1024
It's not hard to be sized-down to that size and to fit. If you want, i can send you a 1280x1024 resolution pic to try out.
What OS are you using? I'm asking this because in Windows 7 you can have it "fit" the wallpaper to your screen no matter the size. I'm not sure if XP or Vista can do this though.
All OSs (as far as i know) have the option to either "Center", "Resize to fit" and "Tile" a picture on the desktop. But, what he means is that it resizes a bit weird; Centering will remove the best parts and Tiling would just flatout remove the right part of the picture. Therefore, 'tis always better to have a wallpaper corresponding with your resolution (in this case, 1280x1024). The Aspect ratio of such a resolution is 5:4, whereas in my resolution (1920x1080), it is 16:9. Big Difference, eh? @Pixel - Those folders are the best sorting folders i have ever seen. EDIT: Here you go. And who'd believe it - it looks much better in 1280x1024 than it does with my resolution.
What are those things at the top? They look awesome. Also, @Shepard_45 here you go, and who'd believe it - it looks much better in 1280x1024 than it does with my resolution.
Just general stats about your PC's performance, temp, DL/UP speed, RAM free HDD usage load of stuff. :3
