What does YOUR desktop look like?

well good thing about Unity (aka Gnome 2.32) is that's it's very user friendly if you want.
as for media goes, everything runs smoothly.
as a mater of fact, atm I'm writing this from Ubuntu.
yes, you can get it on dvd and just try it out without installing it, so you can see if you like it.
here, I'll make screenshot now so you can see how it looks first handed:

as you can see, I have everything running as I'd have on windows:
skype, msn, firefox, I have music in background, above I have application centre (clicking on ubutnu's logo on left up corner), bluetooth control, treminal, libe office, google earth etc.
everything is working smoothly and still I have freedom of linux

I change it to a different wallpaper everyday. Until recently I actually had so many icons that they were covering half my screen, but I decided I really needed to declutter my desktop.

 

Thanks. I'll definitely be giving this a go then when I stop being cheap and decide to drop the last bit of cash on the motherboard.

 

I got bored in photoshop, made this. I haven't had ponies show up for awhile. Stupid shuffle.

I used to have a couple of Fire Emblem backgrounds. I made one outta my favorite girls from Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn, and one of the Greil Mercs too. I only regret I couldn't include more characters. Did I mention I have too many favorite characters for my own good? XD

And dammit, you keep making me nerd out over Fire Emblem. Cut that out!

I always used Zihark and Stefan; Mia always got two-shotted. :C

Okay reason for this is I recently had to recover my brand new fancy laptop from a virus. So I decided it would be safer to do most of my browsing and downloading on my old crappy laptop. This is kind of a disposable computer so I'm not going to put much effort into making it fancy. This is basically the computer I can take risks on and not worry about my video editing hobby coming to an end suddenly.
