Rockin' the old school IBM CRT! This is my work/leisure/gaming setup, although I don't really game that much these days. If you're curious about the bunch of electronics to the right, it's going to be the world's most dodgy car audio/portable stereo. I might do a video some time but the rest of my room isn't really that interesting.
Hurrah! CRTs are awesome, I love the wonderful CLANK! it makes when it turns on :derpe: Huzzah! Yup, got it back in May, and not a moment too soon, about a week after I got it my old PC finally packed it in completely. Yes, yes you can. I wonder how long we can keep the trend going? Would be kinda cool if every had the previous person's on their screen.
This where I spend 95% of my time My TV, complete with Pinkie Pie PS3 theme Somehow, my bed gets bucked every night while I sleep. See those cards right there? MTG cards, I LOVE to play Magic. My Closet My PS3 and school clothes My laptop, after my hard drive suffered physical damage from getting dropped so many times, it's hard dive is now comparable to a giant pile of rhino dung. Let's start an inception style thread. Books on the left, TIME in the middle, skate mags on the right.
I'll show you guys my bedroom after it gets redecorated in april. Right now it's a horrible mess of clothes, kitbags and unfinished craft projects.
At some point I decided it would be fun to take a picture of my desk every year; I'm several years into the process. 2005 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 2011 2012 2013
My room is a total disaster. Looks like a tornado hit it. So, I will in no way take pictures! Haha. However, it's being revamped at the moment as my room is getting an upgrade. Having a huge work desk built for my sewing machine and all my crafts. Muhahahaha!
Do I spot a Surface RT or Pro? We've recently got the RT version into out store so I've had loads of fun playing with it, definitely suits Win8 more than laptops/desktops. Only downside to the RT is that virtually all *****'s won't run on it. :/ Plus, $499+ is a tad steep for me considering it does less than a laptop. But I really want one!
It's a Surface Pro. In my opinion Windows RT is kind of a waste of time and I've never liked the RT tablet for that reason. I don't have a working laptop so I needed a mobile computer; like, a real computer that can actually run any of the software a normal PC can. So yeah, it was expensive but it's a really nice machine. I think these days if you are looking to get a windows tablet, I'd look into other brands if you can't commit a solid $1k to a Surface. I put that much into it because in addition to the specs I needed, it's also very nice (a luxury purchase if you will), but I know there are some less fancy tablets from ordinary PC OEMs that have comparable specs to the Pro for slightly less money. To go on an even further tangent, despite being a microsoft fan, I have had an android phone for many years now and I think if you're looking for a tablet for the sake of having a really low-power device that can do a handful tasks but not necessarily run windows software, Android tablets are 100% the way to go; they come in a huge variety and are the cheapest ones you'll find. - - Auto Merge - - I think also, that Windows 8 really gets a bad rap. People unfairly attack it just because it looks different, but anyone who's used it on a desktop for any length of time knows first hand that it works just fine (and in my opinion seriously improves upon some windows 7 features). As you can see in my own photos, I'm running Win 8 on all of my computers now, even my desktop. At this time i've even upgraded to the Win 8.1 preview; and am loving this version even more than 8.0.
