Interesting. However they did call her Derpy in one of the episodes so the name is canon. And the problem isn't that she doesn't have a canon personality. The problem is that you act like your writings are canon.
No, she doesn't have a name. They re-voiced the scene to delete her name, remember? My writings may not be canon, but "Derpy Hooves" herself isn't canon. In canon, she's just a nameless background Pony. So, my opinion is that this is the last community that should have a "canon only" rule. Fanon is what made "My Little pony" the success that it is. If it wasn't for fanon, we wouldn't even have this message board.
Her name may or may not be canon, but it is fanon. In case you aren't familiar with the term, fanon, or "fan canon" is a concept or idea that is not canon, but is widely accepted and used within the fandom. A good example is Lyra's human obsession. Occasionally, fanon influences the writers or animators, and the fanon idea becomes canon. This is called "ascended fanon." Examples include Derpy's love of muffins and Doctor Whooves being Equestria's version of the Doctor, as well as the now-canon names Lyra Heartstrings, Mayor Mare, and Steven Magnet. Your writings are not canon, nor are they accepted by a majority of the fandom. They are only your headcanons, and therefore not a valid reference.
This is without a doubt the silliest thing I have ever heard. How does someone become a goddess?! How can people from a Anime be the parents of the human counterparts of Trixie and Sunset Shimmer? It makes no sense at all.
