Hey guys your friendly neighborhood Firetip here. I dont post much anymore on account of work. But I wanna ask, What instruments do you guys play or want to learn how to play? GUitars to recorders, or even scratchin them discs. what you guys, girls, or other playin these days?
I played the trumpet a many years ago, but I stopped for 2 reasons. The music teacher was awful and it was uncool. Which is a shame considering I'd find ska years after that.
I played the standing bass for a few years. Wanna know why I quit? The last year I played, during the end-year show... I DROPPED THE BASS! ...... It was very loud and very expensive, and almost took my foot off. le sigh...
I know quite a bit on synths, and a little bit on the lead guitar, though I wanna start playing the bass guitar. I was never too big on software synths, I've tried them out and I just really prefer the feel of real analog knobs, rather than just mouse clicks, MIDI Controllers are cool, but they don't offer the same feel that hardware does. I'm not saying that there isn't good software out there, because there is some good softsynths like Absynth, Max/MSP, Reaktor etc.
Picked up a guitar when I was 13 and haven't put it down yet. I've been playing for about 12 years and I'm still not that good. That's why I mainly play rhythm. I can do some lead though. I have 8 (yes EIGHT) guitars, 2 amps (one just for practice), a few effects, and a TON of songs I've written.
Just for my input, I play Guitar, Used to play drums and never got into it. I played recorder when I was young. I mostly do electric now and can do rythem but am still learning and aiming for lead guitar. I own two electric guitars and one acoustic. I've written two songs. only been playing about 8 months. hopefully one day can put a band together. Honestly I expected more DJs, kinda shocked at all the brass.... am I in HQ?? (army joke...)
I see what you did there. I'm also surprised more synthers haven't posted. Considering that's by far what the fandom has the most of lol.
I play the euphonium/baritone in school (they are almost the same instrument; tone is the only difference). For marching band, I have to play the marching baritone. It's much heavier than a trombone, and I have to hold it like a trumpet! I'm gettin' ripped over the summer... For personal fun, I play the piano and the guitar. I got my first amp the other day, and I love it. I also play the FL Studio. I need to make more songs over the summer, and possibly actually make brony songs.
