Wow... My grandma ordered my mother a box of random kids meal toys from like the last year for her class room as like little goodies, and i immediately remembered the McDonalds pony toys, and highly considered looking to see if they had them in there.
I honestly think this is creepy but I can remember the exact details. (I archived my Facebook account a few months back and checked my first ever post) August 6th 2011 - My friend to me: "You should check out My Little Pony, it seems like your kinda thing" Spend the next day or so scrolling through a bunch of pony memes and some of them made me chuckle. Though, because I hadn't watched the show, I didn't really understand a lot of them. i downloaded the first season from Youtube (as ironically my internet connection was so messed up, it was quicker to download and view and entire episode than view it on Youtube.) and sat down to watch the first episode. Watched the first episode "Meh. This is alright. Nothing spectacular.", Watched the second episode, the moment it got to Twilight's infamous "You all are my friends" speech, I was like "aww". Then it got to the Luna part and Pinkie falling over and I laughed so hard. Watched the third episode, then the fourth, then the fifth, I was joining in the theme tune by the 6th and by the end of it, when I realized I had been watching the entire first season from midnight to 9am I was just like... August 8th, 2011: "I'll confess it. I'm a brony."
That's usually what all my friends say, which is why I haven't been there. I remember searching "brony" on the urban dictionary, I just wish I could remember where I first heard that word. It just said it was a grown man who likes My Little Pony, so I knew that I was one then, but then I kept digging deeper because I knew there was more to it than that.
Caught wind of the buzz about MLP:FiM July of last year and watched the first two episodes on youtube and fell in love.
