May 26th 2011 was the day I became a brony. I'd just finished Portal 2, and the song at the end, "Want You Gone" kept popping into my head every now and then. So, I kept watching the music video for the song on Youtube when I saw something weird in my recommended videos. A PMV no less. It peaked my interest so out of curiousity, I clicked on it and at first found it a bit strange. However, I could not place the name of the show where the video animation came from. I looked at the description and it said "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic"
Naturally, I looked it up on Google to find actual episodes of the show. This is when I found out about the brony community. I watched all the episodes within a week and it had enlightened things so much. "Finally", I thought, "Something completely innocent that I can do." After realising it was coming back for a second series, I waited anxiously for the new episodes and began to draw/write poems of the characters. However, interest began to wane a bit after a while.
But, when the new episodes arrived, I started to regain interest and opened up as a brony to my friends. No-one else is a brony around me but hey-ho :sigh:
This filled me with a new sense of purpose, to be a full-on brony. On the 8th October 2011, I made a Youtube account and began to ponify lyrics for PMVs and post the pony poetry that I had written. More recently, I created an account on this very website earlier this week and I don't think I have ever been happier in my entire life.
    Thank you ponies!

My younger brother kind of "intoduced" me to FiM.

by "introduced" (with the quotation marks), I mean he didn't pull me aside and say "I want to show you this new My Little Pony show called Friendship is Magic! It's really good! You might like it!"

This will give me that chance to tell my how-I-found-out-about-FiM story. :)
(I LOVE telling this story! :))

I was on a Pokemon forum I used to frequent (This was back in March 2011, about a week after Pokemon Black & White first came out, I believe) and I would see every so often some of the members there (mostly the staff members) had FiM avatars and signatures.

At the time, I had no idea it was FiM, yet I just totally guessed (and was correct in guessing) that it was MLP related. When i would see these pictures I would say to myself "What are those, anyway? Is it a new My Little Pony show or something?" I would say that, and not think anymore on it, and go about my business.

I'll also add that during this time, I would hear my younger brother watching some of the episodes. I would ask him "what are you watching over ther?", and he said "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic".

This is what jogged my memory and caused me to ask him "Come over here for a minute. There's some pictures I want to show you." I show him those pony pictures I mentioned earlier. He (obviously) recognizes them and says "Yep! that's from the My Little Pony show I'm watching. "

Like before, satsfied my suspicions were confirmed to be true, I thought nothing else of it, and wnet about my business.

That weekend, my brother had a few friends over, I was also there, and we were just hanging out in the basement, all doing our own thing: The two friends, playing video games, me and my brother on the computer. My brother was about o watch another episode of FiM, and I say "I want o see this how too. Just to see what the fuss is about."

For the record, the episode we watched (i think) was Feeling Pinkie Keen.

After watching it, I say "Al right, that wasn't too bad, to be honest."
At this time, I still wasn't a full-fledged brony yet.

The next weekend was pretty much the same as that last weekend, my brother was about to watch two more episodes of FiM. I decide to watch them as well because of my reaction to the other episode I watched. The two episodes we watched then were Sonic Rainboom and Over A Barrel (< back when it was the newest episode).

This was the moment I declared: "I love this show! I love these ponies!" Yet, I still wasn't as hardcore a brony as I am today.

The next night, I started watching what episodes their were at the time in the first season right from the beginning for the next 2-3 days. I must have stayed up till 3:30/4:00 in the morning watching ponies for those days. :)

About two years ago my sister watched "When I'm Eeyup". And then we watched some more pony videos. And some more. And some more. :)

Back in November of 2010, I stumbled across a video under the name "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic". I knew it was a show for kids and I was drawn from the colors to the show, so I clicked it.

First episode I watch was good but what really wanted me to see what happens next was the cliff hanger of the part 1. So I watched the next. I more blown away like "it this the mlp we all knew before?" After that, I started watching more of it but at night when the folks were asleep and watches each episode as they came out each week.

I never knew what a brony was till December of 2010. So, I guess you can say that a month ago from that was that I became one, even wen I didn't even know it. I just wish I could of found out sooner about it. Brony ever since and a brony forever.

On the side note that I would never knew that me watch a show grow into empire of a fandom like this one would grow so big in just a few years.

It was around March 2012. My friend was spending the night at my house, and we just finished a creepypasta marathon. We didn't feel like going to sleep so we went on Netflix and found My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. All the stuff on the internet had gotten us curious so we watched the first 5 or so episodes, and were hooked.

I stumbled across the pony.mov series and a couple of YTPs and was curious about the show. So, I watched a couple episodes and that was all it took. I was skeptical at first and fought the curiosity as much as I could but that just made it worse so when I finally caved, I was glad that I had found a new show I enjoyed... although I've still only told 2 people about it. My mom knows about the merchandise and the fan art but my younger half-brother just knows I watch the show.

I actually found ponies as a result of this website. Horribly ironic.

February 5, 2013: While looking at Youtube videos of Skyrim mods, I found a bunch of MLP mods, and heard the word "Brony" for the first time. I googled it, and found out about the fandom.
Reaction: "Are you kidding me? They must have NO life."

February 11, 2013: Further research into Bronies led to the discovery that the show was created by Lauren Faust.
Reaction: "What the hell... I'll watch an episode."

February 13, 2013: (64 episodes later) Sweet Celestia! This show is amazing!
Reaction: "I need to get some sleep."
