Dusty approached behind london, clearing his throat slightly, "Faux i presume? Silver told me your our medic for the trip." He smiled nervously, trying to seem sorry for not saying hi earlier
"Uhh ya!" she seemed distracted. Kenji was at full defense mode and Faux couldn't figure out why. "I packed everything that I might need."
"Wonderful to hear. Did you make reservations to sleep anywhere, if not your welcome to join me and my little brother out on the ranch. Ah was gonna ask Silver , but ah wanted to introduce myself first." Dusty spoke as the back of his mane stood up. "Ummm is your fox ok? He's kinda worrying me."
Calla peaked through the bushes and without warning leaped out just a fee feet infront of the fox. She bared her fangs and growled angrily. The fox returned the growl but took a step back to the ponies behind it.
Dusty stepped forward blocking Faux and Kenji. "Whoa there, calm down little wolfy, we ain't looking for trouble." Dusty spoke sternly but softly. "This fox is just Faux's pet, no need to get territorial. We ponies have stayed from your land, now you stay from ours. If you want to try your luck at us, then wait till we set off into the wild, attacking now would only cause losses for your pack." Dusty spoke knowingly that the wolves would surely follow them.
Faux quickly grabbed Kenji before any harm was done. The brown wolf before her snarled and moved closer and closer. Faux tried to stay calm but the terror easily won. The wolf circled them rounding them closer together, Faux made a nervous gulp.
Calla backed away but still kept a threatening look. "If you haven't noticed, that little fox stepped onto my grounds. Its not about you⦠ponies." Calla snarled.
Dusty looked at Kenji then back to Calla. "Ah understand your pride and territory is driving you to rid yourself of this......invader, but it can't be helped. This here fox is as much of a family to Faux as your pack is to you." Dusty calmed as he realized that there might still be a chance for peace. "Ah promise this fox will cause no harm, its to small to do anything anyways."
"She's not a pet.." Faux mumbled. Kenji was still growling from Faux's back but Faux covered her with her wings keeping her safe. "I'm sorry that won't happen again." Faux nervously bowed in respect trying to mimic a normal pack mate attitude.
Calla relaxed a little, only a small growl would make a sound. She wrapped her tail around her paws and she sat down. "Fine⦠but if I see that fox anywhere near here I wont hesitate." Calla eyed the ponies before her, watching them carefully.
Dusty smiled nervously. "Ah'm sorry for calling him a pet. Just trying to protect us here. Ah reckon ah can make up for it later. Promise." Dusty turned back toward Calla. "Thank you kindly my wolf friend, ah personally promise that this here fox wont enter your land." Dusty tipped his hat to Calla in respect.
"I-it's ok." Faux spoke nervously. She felt more relaxed now that the wolf wasn't to threatening looking. Faux slowly slid out her notebook as quickly jot down a few notes then slipped it back in her saddle bag.
Dusty sighed in relief, turning back toward Faux. "Ah guess that ends that. You ok Ms. Faux? Not shooken or anything are ya?" Dusty had a hint of worrying in his eye.
Faux smiled, "I'm ok, I've dealt with cougars before." she pointed to a scar on her right shoulder. "Wolves are nothing!" she laughed nervously.
Dusty nodded and chuckled softly. "Good to hear Ms. Faux, glad to hear. So what brought you out here exactly, was it the wonderful weather or cuddly animals?" Dusty asked jokingly.
Dusty smiled at Dark. "Ah'm guessing your the other pony Silver told me about. The names Dust-Shot though most just call me Dusty. As for whatcha missed.....just usual out here in the west." Dusty spoke, chuckling his soft western chuckle at the end.
