Faux giggled and answered Dusty's question. "Well I'm always up for a adventure so I thought you guys could use a girl on the team plus a healer so I came!" she played with the amythyst necklace around her neck, "And to also study the wolves around here!"
"Well Dark, do ya happen to have a place to stay? You are all welcome to stay at my ranch tonight. It has 6 rooms, so no worry about space." Dusty asked Dark and Faux, hospitality being a strong point in his life. "Now as for the wolves Ms. Faux, plz make sure ah'm near-by if you go a-messing with them again, okay?" Dusty spoke sternly and softly to Faux. "Other than that, ah'm glad you came Ms. Faux, a healer will be much treasured out here in the west."
Calla arrived back at her pack at the apple orchard. Rio and Siro was wrestling playfully and Aurora and Kenya were talking under the tree enjoying a bone they had found. Calla laid beside them and rested her head on her paws as she watched her pack mates.enjoy themselves.
"Well ah got plenty of land out on the ranch for you to train, ah even have a shooting range. Are ya sure you don't wanna come?" Dusty asked Dark honestly.
Faux agreed and and glanced the way the wolf had came. She gave a sigh then turned back, "Guess I'll be studying them another time." she said to herself. She felt Kenji stir on her back and uncovered the small fox.
Dusty looked at the small fox, and chuckled to himself. "All that trouble for a pe.....family member. Ah can respect your cause Ms. Faux, but plz be more careful with your fox friend, the wolves around here are VERY territorial." - - Auto Merge - - Dusty then turned toward Dark and nodded. "Glad you came around partner. Are ya'll ready then, ah'm preparing dinner later so ah'd like to get back before dark."
"Wolves? You never said anything about wolves.", Said Dark, questioningly,"Did you say dinner, I'm famished."
"I didn't think they were so close to town." Faux looked at her hooves a her cheeks turned red. 'I should have left her at home' she thought.
Dusty smiled softly at Faux. "It's ok Ms. Faux, as long as he's here, ah'll protect him. Ah promise." Dusty turned back toward Dark and grinned widely. "Darn totin! Ah love to bar-be-que! Plenty of it too!"
Faux felt Kenji nudge her making her feel better. Faux smiled and petted Kenji. "Would it be alright if I left her at the ranch? I don't want to cause anymore trouble." Faux heard Kenji whimper but ignored it, she rather have a safe and upset fox then a hurt one.
"Oh ah'm sorry, ah didn't know anything about her, so ah just figured." Dusty smiled at the fox. "Sorry ma'am my mistake." Dusty then turned back to Dark. "Ah bar-be-que up various things. Ah guess ya'll probably would call it marenating or however it's pronounced but here it's just bar-be-que all the same. Not any living beings if thats what your thinking Dark." - - Auto Merge - - Dusty then smiled and walked past Faux and Dark, stopping a few feet ahead of them. "Well if'en your ah coming then lets go, and yes Ms. Faux, your little buddy can stay wherever you see fit." Dusty smiled at Faux and Kenji.
The sound of the word BBQ made Faux's tummy rumble "Mmm that sounds good, I hardly anything to eat this morning I was in such a rush." Faux giggled and Kenji yipped in agreement. She trotted passed Dusty but then stopped as she relies she had no idea where she was going.
"Well it sounded like you said you cook lots of," then whispers in what he thinks is dusty's ear "fox.",then said aloud," if you don't know something's gender, just say things like them or they."
Dusty chuckled and shook his head. "Point taken Mr. Dark." Dusty trotted past Faux then slowed to a walk. "Come on now everpony, and fox," Dusty chuckled softly, "lets go eat!"
