Agreed I love all of The Mane Six but Rarity is still my favorite though and Pinkie Pie is my second favorite.
Isn't that what people like most about her? My favorite times with Applejack is when there's the fast banjo music.
I like AppleJack, but I think I know why she's one of the least voted for characters. -Pinkie Pie's a crazy party animal, constantly doing awesome, impossible things to make her friends smile! -Twilight's a Geeky magical genius, who's always acting by the book, and knows everything about everything! -Rarty's a hard-working fashion designer, and a dramatic over-actor! -Fluttershy's an adorable, shy little animal loving pony who always tries to do what's best for others! -Rainbow Dash's a daredevil constantly pushing her athletic limits and striving to become the fastest pegasus alive! -Applejack... kicks trees. I find that, myself, it's about her personality... She doesn't have much of it's all. I don't dislike her, I just wish she was more... more... more... ... personality-y That's just me, anywho.
Pinkie Pie is my favorite. Not because she's crazy or energetic or a party animal, but because, she's got a deep personality under all that. After having a very hard childhood where her entire family was miserable, she became happy for the first time after seeing Rainbow's first sonic rainboom. After being freed from her depression, she dedicates herself to freeing others from depression. She's flawed, going overboard with parties. Her partying is meant to cheer people up, but she doesn't know how to make people genuinely happy... otherwise, she'd do that instead of partying. Parties are "random" and she connects with the wild randomness of them because the excitement of it reflects how she feels when she's filled with joy. But partying too much is... like a form of escapism. Though she only wants to make people happy, it also is an outlet for her to avoid her problems. And under all that partying, she's got personal baggage and can be very depressed. She is very affectionate and loving. You can see this when she sings the smile song, and also, more recently, in the wonderbolt's training academy episode. She shows that she loves Rainbow very much in this episode, and that's because she's her close friend, and because Rainbow gave Pinkie her first genuinely joyful experience. If it wasn't for her other friends, in that episode, she would have never stopped waiting for her to write, and never stopped worrying about Rainbow forgetting about her. She's a really interesting character... and I'm glad to be able to watch her But sometimes I wish she was in a show aimed towards an older audience, so we could explore her character and heart deeper and eventually help her fix her issues.
I rank them (from favorite to least favorite) like this: 1) Rainbow Dash 2) Rarity 3) Pinkie Pie 4) Fluttershy 5) Twilight 6) Applejack
Makes some sense. Applejack is my 4th favorite of the mane 6. @SelLi: I thought the exact same thing about Pinkie multiple times recently. I believe Pinkie's character is actually deeper than a children's cartoon will blatantly show. Pinkie's case is a good example of the psychological side of both the fandom and the fanons. OT: As of now, my order is this: 1. Rainbow Dash 2. Pinkie Pie 3. Fluttershy 4. Applejack 5. Twilight Sparkle 6. Rarity Chances are the order can change in the future, most likely Pinkie and Fluttershy switching places. I still like Pinkie a lot, but I am beginning to like Fluttershy a lot and I can easily relate with her. Interesting enough, on a personality test, she was last and Pinkie had the most in common with me. I believe Pinkie has a lot in common, but Fluttershy has the most in common with me. By accent and voice, Applejack has the most in common.
What an extremely hard question! All the Major characters are awesome in their own way: Rarity: Not one for fashion so I have to say she is my least favorite character. Applejack: Love that cowboy hat and the accent! Fluttershy: So adorably cute, I just want to give her a hug. I love how she interacts with the animals. I love her singing voice too. Twilight Sparkle: My favorite color is purple so that's a winner right from the start. I love watching her character and story develop. Rainbow Dash - Love watching that Rainbow streak across the sky! Really neat how she gets to control the weather. A little too boastful for my liking but it rarely gets out of hand and used much more for laughs. I really like all the characters but I have to go with Pinkie Pie. Almost everything she does makes me want to smile and/or laugh (sometimes at the same time. I share the most personality traits with her as an outgoing pony (person) who wants to make friends with everyone, make every pony feel special (especially when it is their Birthday).
As far as the princess, I prefer Luna. Too be honest, I have mixed feelings about Celestia. She is a character that appears benevolent and one who is a good engine that drives the plot, plus parodies of her are awesome as well as alternative, parody pictures of her cause she looks funny and says funny things. But for some reason, I feel that there can be something fishy about her and I only semi-trust her. (Maybe deception is too deep and serious for a kid's cartoon). But her character does get on my nerves a little and I don't like a lot of her scenes. I don't know much about Candance so I am neutral on her, she does has the pretty pink pony look.
I've posted in this thread before, actually more than once probably. But things change and tastes change so... My favorite pony used to be Fluttershy, hands down. She is still one of my favorites, but now I'd have to say that Rarity and Twilight are right up there now too. Possibly because I'm a bit more outgoing now than what I was, so I can identify with other characters a bit more. Or something. Pinkie Pie still annoys me though. :/
