I will definitely keep watching. I am interested to see how the rest of the story turns out. Besides there are other things I am interested in like when and how the CMC's get their cutie marks.
I doubt they would jump that shark as well, they still have so many fun potential crusading adventures to go on, I think the CMC getting their marks at least wil be held back to the end of the series. But yeah I look forward to more of AB, Babs, Scoots & Sweetie's adventures in the future, also hope we get more Dash/Scoots moments in Season 4 & beyond.
I agree with what you said about The CMC not getting there cutie marks until the end of the series but what if it turned out they had a rare illness that prevents them from getting their cutie marks.
All three of them? Wouldn't be too rare then would it xD __________________________________________________ I certainly want those CMC's to get their cutie marks soon! I want to see a story develop from that! Because when and if they did get their cutiemarks itd be like a second mane 6 but mane 3 and smaller in size and venture i think itd be cute if the adventures they had weren't just based around getting their cutiemarks, but that certainly does add an element to it's appeal :}
NUUUUUU! I don't want them to get their cutie marks until the very end of the series, because in my opinion their adorable antics searching for their cutie marks are far more entertaining than anything that would directly result from them actually getting their cutie marks. They're the ones who got me to love the show: my first episode was A Dog and Pony Show, which didn't quite sell me on the quality of the show, but the next day when I saw Stare Master and Show Stoppers I was hooked.
Animation quality is improving. However hasbro is getting more demanding and this is affecting the story writers a lot. The alicorn move being the worst so far.
I'll just Copy/Paste what i've been saying elsewhere today... One thing i'll say I am glad to see *at least from what i've seen looking around the inter webs* Most people have already calmed down about the whole thing. Again I personally still have faith in the shows writers, even if the finale, like season 2 is a mandate from Hasbro, I doubt they would want to do anyhting to ruin their latest cash cow. I think Hasbro is still just trying to see what works, they are still trying to figure out how to deal with/ wrangle this whole Brony thing in, how they can balance out being able to please the intended demo and the unintended demo. Which can be hard at times. As of now I feel confident season 4 will still be more of a solid show. I feel Hasbro will still give the MLP:FIM team enough creative freedom to tale the stories they want to. And again working around editorial/corporate mandates is nothing new for cartoons, i trust the team can make it work, and by the time season 4 does roll around we'll all be ready for some new animated pony adventures! Until then though we have the Comic from IDW to tide us over during the next drought! So lets enjoy the last 2 episodes of season 3, and look forward to what wonders season 4 may bring! And enjoy the comic during the next drought! Again guys, remember Hasbro is still learning how to deal with Bronies, they have only had a year or so to deal with us, unlike Transformers, G.I. Joe & Star Wars fans which they have had Decades to learn how to react to and deal with. Give em time, they just needa find their groove with us, thats all! *knock on wood*
One of the writers said that this was something that they came up with themselves, not something that Hasbro pushed on them. It was their desicsion, just not Lauren Faust's. Anyway, I'll definatly keep watching. Even with the flaws in Season 3, there have been quite a bit of good episodes {Too Many Pinkie Pies, Magic Duel, Sleepless in Ponyvile, and Wonderbolts Academy}. And I have confidence that the writers will pull off the Alicorn Twilight thing well, especially since they confirmed that she won't be leaving her friends at least.
Yeah so...I've been rewatching Season 1, and I'm up to about episode 10. In the beginning, it brought back some of that same magic I felt when I first started watching MLP, and I thought, "this is definitely better than season 3." But after 5 or 6 episodes, it kinda wore off and I gotta say, Season 1 really isn't all that much better than Season 3. So I gotta agree with PonyExplosion on this one. In the beginning we were all so enraptured that we overlooked the show's flaws and embellished it's good points, but now that we're almost at the end of the third season, that magic has worn off and we see it for what it really is. Now we notice it's flaws and the great parts of the show don't seem quite as awesome as they once did. So yeah, the honeymoon period is over, so to speak. The show hasn't gotten worse, instead our perception of it has changed. Although admittedly, season 3 did have a few more low points than the other two, but Season 3 is also only half as long, so the bad episodes aren't quite as easily forgotten amidst all the good ones as they were in the previous two seasons, and the writers were trying to cram a lot of fan service into this Season. Which was nice, I mean the references to fanon stuff I got a kick out of, but it did give the season a kind of crammed and hackneyed sort of feel, which brought our overall view of the Season down a bit. Now hopefully they can focus less on fanservice eps and more on the actual show for the next Season, which will also be twice as long, so I have hopes that it will be much better than Season 3. I'm definitely sticking around to see how Season 4 turns out.
I think I've noticed that Season 3 hasn't been as good as S1 and 2. "Think", because I'm not sure. There have been some great Season 3 episodes, but sometimes it has seemed like a bit of a downcast and gloomy season, for whatever reason. Also: needs more Pinkie Pie songs. I'm worried about the whole Twilicorn thing, but, what can you do? *shrug* I'm gonna try to wait and see how it turns out.
I've actually enjoyed season 3 the most so far, and I think the quality has increased, but each their own I guess
I've enjoyed season 3. A lot of the episodes have been pretty good, with some exceptions. I may be new and just jumped on this ride, but so far it has been nothing short of amazing, and I plan to stick with this until the end.
I found S3 of mlp Good not as good as past seasons but it still was good i did feel a drop in quality as you said, but not enough too stop watching.
Yes. Definitely. Season 3 was great, and I'm really hoping the pegasi will get their own songs in Season 4!!!
