I'm sorry but That conversation made laugh. Ironic? I watch it cause i like it. The Character's are Fun and Enjoyable. Good Story from every episode from what i've seen and there is more to say what i think about the show but we'll be here all day. Seriously, what was this brony thinking? He needs to find the real reason of this Community. It's Cheerful, Heart-Warming, Addicting to watch, Fun all the way, likable characters, and you can relate to the ponies from whatever mare you choice from.
Brace yourself backstory incoming: I grew up when the apartheid had just ended in South Africa. When I was little I would listen to the news and everyday there would be at least one killing, accident, or riot. When I went to school there were also a lot of verbal bullies. That went on for 7 years...and the REAL irony of it is that when I saw the show first come out two years ago I immediately labelled it as girly and I said that I wouldn't be caught dead watching it...lol...Now I was in Grade 8 and having trouble fitting in. Every now and again I would think about those times I got called horrible names (I don't easily forget things). Then I saw this show on memebase...I saw some pictures and really liked them. I didn't get any of the memes so I found a way around my internet blocker to get to a torrent site and download a few episodes. Now I watch it in full force. I watch it because it helps me forget about all those horrible times. Because I mean c'mon it is a show about friendship. It made me feel happy inside. I am so glad I found it and decided to watch it
You don't watch it OR buy merchandise because it's ironic. You troll with a limited knowledge of facts to be ironic.
You have to admit, the fact that My Little Pony is now so popular with guys is ironic. But that irony have nothing to do with the popularity of the show. I have tried to figure out why I like it so much for a long time, but the answer seems to simply be that it is a good show with great humor and possibly the greatest cast of characters of all time. I also like fantasy and MLP is part of this category, so it is despite its first appearance the show is not contradictory to what I am known to like That being said, what draw me to watch the show in the first place was a desire to find something new, desperation to find something that could bring me out of my depression, which means I would give things a shot I would never consider watching otherwise. I am glad I did, It worked perfectly, I gained a new life purpose and a new less pessimistic outlook on the world from this show.
You don't understand the internet? Lol, he doesn't understand ponies! Like most people, I watch the show because it makes me feel warm and fuzzy. And also because it's a chance to let some of the more femine emotions out. We all have them, but it's a huge taboo for men. But I suppose there are also guys that like to watch it just because it makes them feel cool going against society. It's their loss.
Wait, watching ponies makes me more hipstar. Nooooo, I am forever going to be the super hero no one has ever heard of. LoL no I watch it because it unlocked that lost part of me. The part that likes happy feel good stuff. It just makes me feel good and I like to express feelings............ I dunno -- Sent from my Palm Pre using Forums
Watch it for the irony? Definitely not a true brony. I started watching at first because I really liked how the characters were and the animation was eye-catching. I kept watching because it made me feel good about myself. It was a refreshing escape from dark reality with it's prolonged kindness and heart-warming moments. It reminded me of what really matters in my life. Other than that, it almost feels hypnotic. For me, it is impossible to listen to Pinkie's "Smile" song without actually smiling. Another memory that just came up is when I first heard and saw Winter-Wrap Up. I loved how everyone looked so happy working together with a common goal. I never see this kind of enthusiasm in real life when people are working. People actually tell me that work isn't suppose to be fun. Why not? A happy worker is a busy worker.
I watch it because I like the characters, plot and animation. Not many good cartoons are around nowadays. It also has a good lesson behind each show. Girls can watch it too. The first brony in my school was a girl. This guy doesn't know what he's on about.
At first it was to 'find out what the hell half the internet was going crazy about' now it's to smile and have a nice time u-u
Don't we all watch it for the plot? The storylines can be spell-binding sometimes (I just had to use that Cheerilee smilie, it's soooo cool)
