"They will... In time." He said. Although this wasn't the first death of a civilian he'd seen, it enraged him.
As he tried to fall asleep, Sarge could hear the faint sound of Cora crying. It filled him with sorrow and took him back to when he had lost his father. He wanted to do or say something to try and comfort her, but he had no idea how to. He spent so much time roaming by himself, these situations never seemed to pop up.
Cora fell asleep after crying awhile, feeling the somber atmosphere of shared grief. (I say, jump forward to Pen Peak?)
((Sounds good to me.)) It was early in the afternoon when they reached Pen Peak, a small town on top of a peak. "All I need to do is say hello to my mother, then see if anypony wants anyone dead." Sarge said.
Red sat at the Pen Peck bar, finally getting the drink he went to Theives Landing for. He sighed contently as he downed another shot, feeling not even buzzed dispite the several shot glasses in front of him. "What ya usin for whiskey?" Red asked the bartender, who though at first was scared by Red's appearence, he got over it after realizing he just wanted a dink. And hey, business is business, and Red was tipping generously. "Uh Apple Henderson's, why?" he said. "Hm, that stuff is pretty weak. Got any Blue Diablo?" Red asked. "Of course, I need to go grab it from the storeroom real quick." the bartender said. "Take your time." Red called as the bartender went into the back room.
Sarge walked into the house. "Mom, I'm home!" He called out. Soon an aged mare came down the stairs with a smile on her face. "Sargent! I'm so glad to see you!" She said, hugging him, "Who's this?" "Mom, this is my friend, Cora." "It's very nice to meet you!"
"Are you kids hungry?" She asked kindly. "Actually, mom, I gotta get going soon. I just wanted to pop in and say 'Hi, I'm not dead.'" His mother chuckled at the remark, "Alright, I understand." "Come on, Cora. We're gonna head to the bar."
Cora nodded once more at the friendly old mare and followed Sarge out of the building. "Let's go find some loser who can't take care of his or 'ers own prollem."
Red turned quickly to see who ha entered then quickly turned back around and attempted to blend in Ashe did not fel like getting in any sort of fight
Sarge was soon motioned by a stallion to approach him, so he did. "You a bounty hunter, son?" The stallion asked. "Indeed I am, sir." Sarge replied, "Who do you want dead?" "I need you to kill a Shadow Light down in old Tumbleweed. He's caused too much trouble!" "I'll get on it, mister."
"Ah here ya are Red, some Blue Diablo as..." The bartender dropped off as he saw Red giving him death stares. "Ah it don't matter Ah guess anymore." Red said, not making any attempt to hid himself anymore as the entire bar looked towards him, "Just pour me a glass already."
