IE just has a bad rep because of its earlier crap versions, like I cannot stand IE6/7 but I love IE9, so thouroughfore, I look forward to see it as I will then see what they changed, how's its better, how its worse, etc.
I've run it side by side with multiple different browsers, not a single difference speed or in the amount of times they crash. And don't complain about the toolbars, those are downloaded by you.
EEeeehhhh... I dont know... I like the sleek style, but I already made my Windows 7 have that. I'll probably stick with 7 until I hear alot of positive reviews about 8
Yea, I already brought that up. - - Auto Merge - - Yea, just watched the preview for it, seems much more suited for tablets and touch screen computers.
I think that IE9 was a huge improvement from the previous versions, but it's still behind firefox and chrome. Microsoft will need a miracle to catch up to those two. Although most of the world use IE anyway, so they're not too bothered. As for Windows 8, it looks quite good for tablets, phones and all-in-one PCs. For standard PCs, not so much.
If the recent smart-phone, touchscreen trend moves to PCs and we find ourselves ditching the mouse almost completely in the next windows life-cycle, then... It might actually be a good move. If we don't I see no reason - as of yet - to upgrade.
Tried it a few days, didn't really like it in a Desktop, or Laptop environment. I found using a mouse and keyboard to be very cumbersome with the Metro UI. I think I may be sticking with Win7 on my laptop and desktop PCs for now. It works real nice with touch displays and tablets though. I think that's where Microsoft wants to go with Win8 since tablets are almost beating, if not already beating your average PC in sales and popularity. I just hope that Microsoft is ready for the potential loss in sales with PC customers. (going by the many reviews, complaints, and opinions of myself and friends)
I don't like it. There seems to be a pattern in good Microsoft os's XP > Awesome, Vista > Sucked, 7 > Awesome, 8 > Sucks. It seems more suited for mobile devices/ touchscreens
My dad is hard-pressed on the idea that Windows 98 is the number one best (however, XP is the greatest). Leme break it down for you: XP is great for networks (school, business, etcetera) Vista is the best for gaming 7 is good for, well, idunno, but it's good 8 ???
Vista is far from best for gaming...One of the reasons why Vista failed was because it was too clunky, and in turn ran your processor faster than it needed to be to compute simple tasks, lessening it's life. If that's what you mean by 'best' then sure. :derpe: Win7 does everything Vista could but much faster. Win8 performs even faster than 7, but imo is a bit annoying to use if you do not own a tablet or touch display PC.
