Has to be the quickest I've ever made a pony related song
Well it's short, but here's a remix of Winter Wrap Up

I'll probably do a more full remix some time now that I've got plenty of time with school

    Hm.... hmmm.... ahem.

...I like it that you used "Up" as a direction, rather than an adverb, and changed it to left. Anyone can clearly hear the Winter wrap up tune in it, but dude, I must say, these are getting a bit... boring. No offense, but you need newer, and better, drum sets, more colorful instruments and for Luna's sake a bit of string sounds in it. Anything, any string sounds, you just need them. I see that your style is something like, erm, that style of music... can't remember the name, but I'd love to hear something more like "orchestrated" rather than a club mix. From the club mix point, it's a rather good song, but from my view point, it ain't. You could try to use only 2 or 3 instruments at once, to make it sound more or less like a live song. I propose you to finally find a good "Guitar" tutorial, and stick to a more "realistic" drum set.

But then again, that's only my viewpoint, someone may like this sound a lot, I sure don't.

Grey: No, i didn't. It's just my honest reaction to this track. It's not bad, but it ain't got a real nice tune in my ears. I know WherewolfTherewolf - He's intelligent. He'll get this as a critique, rather than an insult.

@WWTW: I suggest you try the guitars in Flstudio. They sound good, at least for me.

Alright let's get a few things straight

1: I said I made this really quickly, it was 3 in the morning and I couldn't sleep, wanted to make something quickly but was feeling lazy at the same time - I had already said I don't think this is the best thing I've made by far, it was just for fun.

2: Ever drive and have someone in the back telling you how to do it, saying you're doing it wrong and constantly saying how they would do it better? You know how those people annoy you insanely, while other people who provide suggestions about how to get there faster don't? You see there's a bit of a difference between feedback and being a back-seat driver, it's a very fine line really and harsh, blunt criticism is often the most productive - but this, this is quite the opposite really, this is very unproductive. Why? It's not really feedback, it's a "I don't like this, do it this way" - more or less telling me how to write my own things, and as I said - it's a very fine line between being really helpful and not being helpful at all. You see when you link art and such, people will quite often provide you with ideas on how to provide right? Well this is more like "dude, just scrap this image and do it in this style, it's better that way" - not really all that helpful now is it? But just to clarify some things:
--I do use orchestral instruments when I compose, just check my latest video
---I try to avoid using strings and such in melodies for obvious reasons: good string sounds are expensive, really expensive - they cost quite a few more muffins then I have on me. I get help from my friends to render these but I don't want to always mooch off their stuff, on top of that they might not take it the same way I was picturing so on and so forth, really it's hard to do good strings without doing tons of automation work playing with the attack for the various parts if it's complicated, and quite often people aren't willing to go through that trouble when rendering for a friend.

--I never compose something with the mindset of making it "orchestrated" - I compose the piece how I hear it in my head and how I like it, should it be mainly acoustic so be it, should it be mainly electric so be it. I feel electronic and acoustic sounds can compliment each other very well and thus feel no need to limit pieces to just one or the other. As for drums, I just like electronic sounds better - bite me, they're just more fun to make without all the trouble of trying to make them sound realistic - even there I'll often blend acoustic and electronic sounds with like say the cymbals and such (electronic cymbals quite often seem really weak in comparison).

--I don't write club music as I don't listen to it, if something happens to be dance-y it's because I just liked the beat and wanted to roll with it, but not on one of my pieces have I had dancing in mind when I was writing it, I focus on the sound of the piece, not if it'd work in a club.

--FL Guitar or not, they sound really cheesy to me so I try to use guitar fairly liberally as it's just so hard to get it to sound right, I'll try to record my own guitar playing occasionally but I'm not the greatest at it.

--2 or 3 instruments at once? Haha oh how you jest, too empty for me - I prefer more complicated composition-work as it's more fun writing imo

Point being, I love getting feedback, positive or negative
Just try not to be a backseat driver

As I said before, half-azzed doesn't begin to explain this song
I'll do a better remix when I get to it, this was just a little experiment/fun thing to occupy some time

Grey, it isn't really a rant, it's more or less an adequate answer to my rant.

    @WWTW:
[rap-talk]YO, I respect dat, I respect yo opinio', I respect yo. Aight, I like ya. I like ya a lot, nao don't get dat too serious, ok? Ok? 'Cause, y'know what I sayin', We talk style here. Nothin' but style, and style isn somthin' we shud talk 'bout. Style talk neva ends up the way intended, and we neva talk in the same language, y'understand? 'Cause I ain't jokin', let's put dis aside, let's jus' conclude i like diz style betta, you like dat style betta, ok? I don wanna argue 'bout som silly opinion mix up, 'aight?[/rap-talk]

Now honestly, it's just a silly style talk, y'know. And seeing that's it's a rough wip, there isn't much to give feedback on. Talking about styles isn't a talk that ends up good, might just as well start talkin'bout religion, that ends up way less controversial than style talk. I have to say that it's my fault talkin'bout style. But then again, it's a wip, and whatever you say about a wip, there's a 80% chance the autor'll say "it's a wip.", "It's an early wip, of course that'll...", "I haven't yet gotten to that part." or something similar.
I, for one, prefer having feedback on my finished art, since that way i know where i screw'd up the most; The next art I do'll not have the same error.

But it's not a wip, I'm not planning on continuing it
I like getting feedback in the midst of making something anyway, but getting it on the final is good too - getting in the middle does quite help you prevent some errors from making it into the final.
As I said really, that piece was something I made out of boredom just to fill some time, wasn't really expecting it to be all that good. Your rant was just directed at my music in general, so my response was too.

if you want a rough of a more serious winter wrap up remix, I've got some midi here atm but being midi it just doesn't translate the idea the best
