Her face fell and she went over to the corner, cracking open a window imperceptibly. She hurried outside, her expression distraught.
She spoke hastily, her brow furrowed. "In a few seconds, a human is going to come out. I'm going to go with him and we're going to go get tea. The back window has been left open, and you're going to go get Oblivion and get out. Don't break anything. Please. Get in and get out."
"Yes," she said quickly. "He asked me out and he's a nice boy and I'm already feeling really guilty."
Zerras's expression fell flat as he tipped his head back. "Oh. Right. Okay." About 30 seconds later Reeve would come out of his shop, closing up before looking for June.
He was wearing dark pants and a green button up, those dimples showing as he smiled. "Hey. Ready?" he asked, offering his arm warmly.
She gave him a smile back, taking his arm gently, although Zerras would notice that it seemed a little more awkward than it was with him. "I'm always ready for a good cup of tea."
They started off, leading her to a nearby cafe. Zerras watched them go before scoffing and rolling his eyes, heading around the back. He found the window, carefully opening it and stepping in. Eventually he found the sword up front, wresting in its scabbard. He gingerly picked it up, his fingers brushing the handle before he knelt down, wrapping it in a cloth to conceal it before dropping a few coins on the table and and heading back out, closing the window behind him.
(Yoop!) Zerras had returned to their Inn, Oblivion still neatly wrapped. Reeve had said goodbye to her at the cafe, figuring it would be easier to part ways there.
She had given him a light peck on the cheek as they left, feeling guilt settling in as she returned to the inn, her shoulders slumped as she closed the door behind her.
Zerras had brought back their laundry, and he looked up as she came in. He hesitated for a moment. "I'm sorry you had to do that."
She didn't look at him, shaking her head as she began to pack up their stuff. "We should leave tonight. He knows I was interested in the store."
