“Yeah. Although he called me Juni last night,” she said with a small laugh, looking over at him. “That was a new one.”
June settled her head against his arm and Poppy smiled at the two of them before looking back towards the front.
June gradually fell asleep next to him, leaning against his arm. Poppy looked back at them for a moment before turning fully, resting her head on her hands. “So, be honest. Is it really not like that?”
“I think she likes you," she commented smoothly, tilting her head. "Girls only sleep on people's shoulders if they're interested." She looked over at Francis. "Right?"
She shook her head, resting her head on her hand earnestly. "Not like that," she replied quietly. "Trust me. I'm a doctor." She raised an eyebrow. "Don't you notice her touching you unnecessarily? Or looking up at you for approval? Or blushing when you say her name?"
"You should ask her out," she encouraged. "She seems into you. She's sleeping on you, for Gods' sake."
She tilted her head, watching him thoughtfully. “But you like her.” It wasn’t a question. June turned her face into his chest, still asleep.
He frowned slightly, looking down at her. "You make a lot of presumptions.." Francis laughed slightly.
