She sat up a little, looking over at her, the water dripping down her body. “Maybe a little,” she mused, looking over at him. She had caught the sun; the bridge of her nose was a little pink.
She followed him, nodding. “A little. I’m pretty lucky, I tend to tan more than I burn. Finneas burns so badly though. I remember one time he was crying for a week every time he had to try to take a shower because it burned so badly.“
She came over to him, standing by his side. She reached out tentatively, rubbing the back of his neck. “Are you okay?”
He raised an eyebrow at her delicately, but his expression was affectionate. "Does it seem that way? I'm not tired."
She rubbed the back of his neck gently before giving him a smile. “That’s good. We did just have a nap.”
She gave him a small smile before looking at the sun sinking in the sky, her fingers still rubbing the knots out of the back of his neck. “This is pretty...”
She looked up at him, and her expression softened as she watched him, her hands shifting slightly to rest on the side of his neck.
She paused and her eyes flickered down to his mouth for just a moment. She flushed before dropping her hand, looking out to the sun going down over the horizon.
He blinked in surprise, watching her with a furrowed brow. He said nothing, turning back to the fire with a small flush.
