As they got further along, he would realize that Juniper got really easily distracted, and the shopkeepers seemed to sense it. He would have to pull her away from a cricket in a cheap wooden cage. Her ears pricked up when she heard someone advertising everlasting ink. She slowed as they passed stores that played any sort of music.
He made sure she didn't stay distracted for too long, pulling her to the main dock. It was a little busy, but not too bad. Elves and fae here and there, dwarves, tieflings. You name it, they were lounging about. On the dock stood a few fae and a blonde elf boy on the edge, talking to a silvery haired siren. Zerras peered at the map. "So the key is around the city somewhere.. I think they might make potions to allow people to breathe underwater?"
She peered at the siren with interest before looking up at him. “Do you want to split up and ask around?”
Juniper clearly relaxed, her own ears perking up. “Hi... I’m sorry to bother you... my friend and I are trying to figure out how to get down to the city.” The elf frowned at her and Juniper visibly dampened.
The siren tapped her chin, her face bright despite the elf's cold demeanor. "Ozepan? There should be a potion you can take.. what brings you?"
She laughed a little, tucking her hands behind her back uncertainly. “It’s, uh... it’s silly, but we’re seeking adventure,” she replied. The elf scoffed a little. “An elven adventurer. Now I’ve seen everything.”
He gave her a small smile, kissing her temple. “Elves aren’t exactly known for their derring-do.” June spoke up. “Where might we find this potion, if you don’t mind me asking?”
"Some shops sell it," she explained, resting her head on her hand. "It lasts as long as you're underwater."
Her face brightened before she hesitated. “What if I don’t know how to swim?” The elf next to the siren smirked a little.
She looked a little sheepish, looking over her shoulder for a moment. “Yes,” she replied, looking back at the siren before shrugging a little. “It can’t be that difficult to learn, I suppose...”
She looked thoughtful before brightening again. "No, I suppose not. Either way, the potion allows you to breathe underwater."
She brightened, giving them a small nod. “That’s excellent news. Thank you. I need to go find my friend.” She looked over her shoulder for a moment. “I seem to have lost him.”
