She was quiet before laughing softly. “It’s sweet, Z, but I don’t need to live that long. You don’t need to worry.”
"Of course I am," she said gently, looking up at him. "You're going to have a long and happy life, Z. You deserve that."
"I was thinking too far ahead and too hopefully," he said with a frown, pulling his bag back onto his back.
She looked up at him, frowning before she led him out of the city. “We should probably set up camp soon.”
She noticed his frown and paused before moving behind him, his fingers picking out sore points on his back and rubbing them gently, releasing tension from the fight.
He was quiet, leaning slightly in her touch. The passed through the city for awhile before making it back to a deserty atea.
She lit the fire, sitting back on her knees before coming up behind him, draping her arms around his neck and kissing his cheek gently.
