It would take him a few minutes for it to rise into the air, but it worked eventually and began to ride the air waves just as it looked like Juniper got the fire going.
He watched it go for a moment before realizing the fire was going and brought it back down, heading over.
"You seem... I don't know," she said with a shrug, drawing a stick drawing of a house in the dirt with a small twig. "Sad, I guess. Worried. Did the kite not work?"
She laughed a little, pulling her cloak tighter around her self consciously. "I don't know. I might be projecting."
She set her bag next to her and laid down, resting her head on it and looking up at him thoughtfully. "About what?"
He laid down, propping himself up on an arm. "You've never been in that kind of forest. It's different from the ones in the kingdom. It's a Dark Forest."
She giggled, turning onto her side to consider him. "A Dark forest? Seriously, that's the name of it?"
