He covered her mouth for a quick moment, before dropping his hand a gesturing a shush. He peered out from behind the tree. In the distance she would see movement.. giant movement. Enormous mossy legs moved, and she would see that it was an absolutely massive elk covered in fauna. It's legs were thicker than even the regular forest trees, and it moved with a slow grace, leaves occasionally falling from its antlers. Its eyes were a glowing blue, peering around warily.
She watched with wide eyes, her head tipping back to look at the giant creature, her brows furrowed in surprise and fear and shock and she looked over at Zerras, touching his arm in a gesture that seemed to be asking what to do.
She looked up at him, her eyes wide before she put both of her hands on his shoulders. "Did. You. See. That?!" she whisper-yelled. "Oh my Gods. It was huge!"
He laughed a little, looking back at the looming darkness. "That's the kind of thing you'll find here."
"Oh my Gods, Zerras," she said, pulling away, almost skipping from excitement. She pointed down at the hoofprint, stepping into the impression it had left. "Lookit, Zer!" she said, squatting down to inspect it.
“Don’t you just think that’s amazing?” she asked, looking up at him with a delighted grin. “It’s fantastic!”
She came up to him, patting his chest distractedly as she looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of another creature. “What else is out here?”
She looked up and he would see her face fall as she snapped back to reality. This was not her friend. She stepped back from him, pulling her hood up. “...right. Let’s keep going.”
