She gave him a cheeky grin before hopping off the barstool, giving a cheerful wave to Leon before they left.
He seemed busy, but squinted in response, letting them on their way. Zerras huffed once they got out, easing up in the fresh air. "To a shop, then?"
He followed, looking around. Despite the city being filled with poor criminals, it seemed rather merry. Many people looked happy to be with their own kind.
He looked down at her with a small frown. Apparently a frown was his expression for a lot of things; anger, fear, surprise, curiosity.. "What do you mean?"
She gave him a small smile before looking at the groups of people. "It's nice, despite the image it gives off. Merry, you know?"
"I suppose," he replied, his expression relaxing as he looked ahead. "We're just passing through, though."
He exhaled slowly, shaking his head. Strands of hair fell out of place but he pushed them back. "I was worried you'd say that."
Her expression changed in something that was becoming almost endearingly familiar to him; she didn't like that. "Why?"
"Like I said. I banished a lot of people in my day. If anyone recognized me a bounty would he put on my head and I'd be killed."
She sighed a little, looking up at him. "Why were you such a mean guy?" she asked, clearly teasing him a little.
