“Well, I... I wanted to see what you were going to buy first,” she said uncertainly. “Should I buy the same one?”
This seemed a decision of utmost importance to her, and she frowned, considering the many cloaks in front of her. “Uhm...”
She hugged the coat to her chest, following him. "I think I have enough for everything," she mused. "That last delivery actually did pretty well."
"I'm going to stop by the treasury of the village today to exchange some stuff for money. We should probably leave before sundown unless we want to get pent in the village for the night."
She frowned, looking up at him. “Maybe it would be best to stay,” she replied. “We don’t need to rent a room or anything, but it’s probably safer to camp out inside the walls than outside. Unless you were planning to travel at night...?”
She nodded in response, looking thoughtful. "We could split up when you go to the treasurer," she mused. "I can try and find a spot." She reached up to her ears, pulling off the small brass rings that lined the edge. "You can sell these. They're not much, but they might be worth something..."
She glowered at him, her left ear flicking as if warding off a fly. "Take them," she insisted, offering them to him. "If you can sell rings, I can sell some earpieces."
