She looked up at him, and gave him a tentative smile before going quiet, letting them continue their journey.
They walked awhile longer, snow beginning to spot the ground occasionally. They were still quite a ways from Udrulon, but it was about reaching that altitude.
She looked up at him, her eyes full of awe and delight. "No! Look at it, Zer," she said excitedly, coming up to him, the snow cupped in her palms, the tips of her fingers turning pink.
She looked up at him playfully before looking back down at the snow, watching it melt. "Have you ever seen anything so wonderful in your life?"
She let go of the snow, wiping the water off her hands before wrapping her arms around his, seeming absolutely spellstruck. "It's amazing."
"We can make one once we set up camp," he said, looking around with slight worry. "Hopefully we can still do it."
She tilted her head before smiling at him. "Don't worry," she soothed, her voice gentle and quiet. "I'll keep you warm."
