She faltered a little, her brows furrowing as she returned to her own ball. There was a pause before she looked down at it, continuing her task.
He turned a little, looking stubborn as he glanced over at her. "..And it's going to be bigger than yours."
She looked up at him and her expression of uncertainty relaxed as she beamed at him. There was a feeling of gratefulness in her expression. "Uh huh," she said, beginning to work faster. "Sure."
He would hear her giggling again, so delighted with the activity that she couldn't keep it to herself. She kept rolling before starting on another ball, ignoring the fact that his challenge was not about quantity, but size.
She was pushing her ball with her hands, and finally stopped, her whole hands pink. She started laughing outright, trying to blow warm air into them. "Zer...?"
"We have enough for the snowman," she said, coming over to him. "Come on, we gotta... we gotta stack 'em."
She lifted the larger of her too, stumbling a little as she set it on top of his. She seemed extremely excited, lifting the final one and placing it on top. “Oh my Gods. We did it.”
Her teeth were chattering at this point, and she blew warm air into her hands. "Nah... let's go back to the fire."
She looked up, her mouth opening in protest. “No! I’m fine,” she insisted, trying to take off her cloak. “It’s just my hands, see?” She showed them to him. They were pink from the cold and slightly wet from the snow. “Take the cloak back. You’ll get hypothermia.”
He took them in his hands thoughtlessly. Despite having been in the snow they were rather warm. "I'll be fine. See? Let's just get back to the fire."
She looked up at him in confusion, her head tilted and a question on her lips. “How are you so warm?”
They went back to campsite, and he held his hands by the fire. "I should probably try to secure the ceiling.. Unless you want to try working on your nature magic."
