1. Smile Smile Smile Come on everypony, smile smile smile! Fill my heart up with sunshine, sunshine! All I really need's a smile smile smile From these happy friends of miiiiine! That part always, ALWAYS gets me ready to cry in joy. 2. Art of the Dress All we ever want is indecision. All we really like is what we know. Gotta balance style with adherence. Making sure we make a good appearance. Even if you simply have to fudge it Make sure that is stays within our budget. Got to overcome intimidation Remember it's all in the presentation! I really like this song, I absolutely adore Rarity's singing voice and in some way I can relate to the stress she goes through for this. 3. This day Aria This day is going to be perfect. The kind of day of which I've dreamed since I was small. Everypony will gather round, say I look lovely in my gown. What they don't know is that I have fooled them all! I always always ALWAYS love a good villain song, and this is simply astounding. The duality and contrast of both the Cadence's singing is just sublime.

I have a technical and personal favorite from each season, as well as one I don't like. Season 1 Personal favorite: Cutie Mark Crusaders theme. It should really come as no surprise if you take my username into account. I love this song, even if it's supposed to suck. The instrumentation is on point for the most part (The synths could stand to be a bit more vintage and the guitar could have used more gain), but other than that, my favorite track of the season, plus every cover I've heard of it rules. Technical favorite: The main theme. I chose this one because, though TBH I'm sick of it, it's still a great song just because they took the MLP theme of old and gave it sort of a pop-punk twist. It still sounds a bit feminine where a guy like me would be embarrassed to have it playing nearby, but it's a great little song to jam out too and it sets the tone for the series well. Least favorites Personal:You Gotta Share. Where do I begin? First off, let me point out that I am not a fan of Pinkie Pie's singing voice. It's a bit shrill for my tastes and most songs with her singing I kind of have to ignore, unless the instrumentation saves it. This, unfortunately, was not the case, despite the fantastic piano work, it doesn't do it for me. The lyrics are pretty cheesy and though the sequence itself is adorable, the song isn't that good. Technical: Hush Now Quiet Now. I love Fluttershy's part (She has the best voice in the entire series IMO), but Sweetie Belle's isn't that good to me. It's well produced and everything, but maybe I am not a fan of gospel. Season 2 Favorites Personal: Find a Pet. It's a duet with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash, what's not to like? It was the first song in the season (Aside from the remastered main theme), and what a way to kick it off. The voices are superb and the harmony in the end made me tear up, I'm not lying. If this was a live performance, rest assured I'd throw the roses on stage right then and there. Technical: This Day Aria. This song, like the last, ranks right up there with the Disney stuff. This is a perfect villain song: The singer sounds deliciously evil, the music sounds ominous, and there's tempo changes to match the moods conveyed in the song. It's perfect in every way and is my favorite song in the series. Least favorites Personal:Smile. It's a tough choice but there has to be a bad one. I chose this because, even though Pinkie sounds better here, it's still her singing. The instrumentation is nice, at least, going from acoustic pop to Broadway, and if you listen close enough, you can here come electric guitar near the end. It's okay, but I have to choose a clunker. Technical: Love is in Bloom. Ironic how both my favorite and least favorite technical choices are in the same episode. This song is like Disney again, but unfortunately the cheesy poppy side of the Mouse House. I suppose it works for the intended audience, as they might have Selena Gomez posters or Camp Rock CDs and this will fit in with them, but it doesn't work for me. Feel free to tear me a new one for my choices here and this long post. ^_^

1. Art of the Dress (both parts) because I love Rarity and I can relate perfectly to this song. A great song for anypony that is into art or likes to do people favours. 2. Smile, Smile, Smile because I love Pinky and I also relate to this one... and it's so sweet! 3. Winter Wrap Up because... I just like it. I also find myself feeling a bit like Twilight does from time to time. 4.... everything else.
