Well, me and my friend said to each other "Hey, I bet I can watch My Little Pony longer than you can!" and after we both didn't give in and sat through the whole thing, we decided to go about our days without more mention. I felt the weirdest sensation to watch it again a few months later, so I was like "You know what, I'm open minded, so I'll watch this dumb show just to see what all of the hub-ub is about," and of course the next time a looked at the clock, it was the next day. Well my reaction was basically "Eh, it IS an okay show, and I do like it's humor." The next day I was watching my nephew and flipping through the channels trying to find some cartoons to watch with him, and lo and behold, My Little Pony Friendship is Magic was on. So we watched it and it was then that I realized I loved this show, and that I was a brony by all counts. For a few minutes I felt kind of weirded out, just because it was so surreal to now be the thing that I was making fun of weeks ago. But then I just let it be, because for the first time in a LONG time, I felt genuinely happy (not to go all Depressing Derek on you guys =P).
I kind of have a history of watching and following strange shows, so I was really unsurprised when I finally migrated over to MLP. It was more of a "that took a lot less time than I was expecting" sort of reaction.
My reaction http://i.imgur.com/eoGYqCt.jpg i will probably add some more ponies and some other random stuff in the background
The first part pretty much sums it up
When I found myself watching MLP 1am and I started watching more the next day. That's when I became addicted to MLP: FiM and now I'm almost through Season 1.
Spoiler: The realization kicks in ...Alright, so it wasn't that big a deal. After seeing pony memes EVERYWHERE, I decided to sit down and watch the first two eps. Afterwards I thought, "This is a'ight for a kids' show, but I still don't know what all these 'bronies' are making a fuss about." Upon watching the third episode, I began to see why kids love the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch the show became so popular, and I fell more and more in love with the characters with each new episode. It was when I was about halfway through se01 that I began to browse deviantArt for pony art and started interacting with other fans on forums, at which point I could no longer deny the facts - I had, in fact, become an egghead a brony.
Actually, I did not feel any different. It is just another title that I can add to my long list. But, I define my titles, they do not define me. They are a part of me, but not all of me.
I was watching it on youtube because i was ill and in bed so yeah, any way came back after school and went on my phone and to my history and when i saw what i had been watching so i decided to continue and low and behold i was reading fan fic looking for cartoons and watching silly filly studios and stuff like and then it dwned on me this is awesome so i continued until one of my friends girl btw showed me a picture they drew and i recognised who it was and i think it was about then.
I would say it was "well lets see what this is all about... thirty minuets later... winter wrap up winter wrap up."
"I like cartoons - as most non-boring people do - maybe I'll like this one, as it seems to be quite popular." It turns out that I did enjoy it. Yay~
Well, I've never considered myself a 'Brony', so there really wasn't anything to realize. lol My introduction to the show went like "Hey, a new cartoon! I like cartoons, and I've heard this one is good, so I'll give it a try." and after taking a liking to it "I have a new show to watch! Yay!"
At first I thought "I can't seriously like this show". Then I thought, huh I wounder if you can watch the show and still not be a brony. Then I looked up the definition and apparently anyone out of the targeted demographic that's a fan of the show is a brony. At first I kinda didn't want to call myself a brony because I thought a lot of the bronies didn't really watch the show and were just trolling. Then I figured out that by definition you aren't a brony if you're not a fan of the show. then I was like sure all call myself a brony.
my reaction... I was watching, get this, Pewdiepie, yeah, him. And I saw a video for "Best Pony Videos" so I was like, "eh, why not?" and clicked it, I liked it, and watched more videos, then I thought. "Hey, maybe is this is funny, then the show will be awesome!" She I watched episode 1, secretly, cause I didn't know what my parents would've thought, and I loved it, so I thought that It was okay being a brony, and became a brony, and I'm glad I did!
