why do peole act like just because its the year 211 everyone should have gotten over themselves by now? im gonna lay it down so everyone can remember: HUMANS NEVER LEARN! they will always be idiots, and ruin others lives for th giggles, because humans are scum,(no offense bronies) and i have yet to see a non brony show me otherwise,
Wow. This is EXACTLY how I feel. There are very few of us who know how things *should* work and I've found most of them here. However, I do refrain from an exact judgement (wording may be off) because we have yet to find another sentient species to compare ourselves to. On a cosmic scale, we might not be that bad.
Guys... GUYS... Where is this going? We shouldn't start thinking of ourselves as a superior group or faction! That's against everything being a brony is about. Humans are NOT scum. Humans can behave in terrible, just terrible ways due to ignorance and fear, but every person has as much good inside as ill. That's what makes us humans, and how an individual behaves and develops is affected by personal choises, but also affected by whatever life throws at you. We should be very happy for ourselves that we're open-minded and cool people, but maybe we wouldn't have been if we were born elsewhere, raised differently and had lived other lives. What I'm trying to say is, please don't become hostile towards non-bronies. <3 Then you're no better than the trolls and haters. Am I overreacting?
Getting back on topic, I don't see it being too long before the episodes are put back up again. Hasbro seems to enjoy the free advertising.
I'll support the show as much as I can. I have all the episodes at hand but when the DVD drops, I'll buy it. Anything is possible. After the Sony thing this year, I don't doubt anything online is 100% anymore
what if YouTube explodes... then explodes again. on serious note: since MLP:FiM is so good, yes, if price is not too high, I would buy DVD release (even if I have all episodes in HD on computer) as support to job well done. Another idea for hasbro: they can let people download episodes for free (somewhere on internet) and let people pay (in way of donations) how much they feel that the series is worth, and how much they can afford it. I know for myself, since I'm not very well with finance, I probably wouldn't be able to afford dvd (if it's like 40$ or so) but I would certainly give Hasbro 5-6$ as support even if I could have gotten episodes fro free (that would be as much as I could afford). if I had more money I would give them, they really deserve it. That way they will make some money of it and still have all fans happy and give them freedom to validate for themselves how much they think show is worth, and everyone will be able to enjoy the show. Also youtube videos should stay since after all Hasbro's main business is toys, not TV shows. and more people watching the show, more people will buy their toys. Removing free advertisement would be as smart move as Honda's retiring from F1 couple years ago (rated as one of most stupid moves in auto industry, if they stayed one more season, whole Honda would get out of financial crises.)
You scared me for a second. I found the episodes youtube still. I didn't know what I'd do during my lunch break with on MLP. I HOPE it's just a troll and things go back to normal. I'd also buy the dvd if they release one or donate 20 dollars.
i would quote everyone of you to say thanks for the suport but theres not enough space :/ but thanks to everyone of you. i want you all to know that im okay and theres was nothing too serious, just a few bruises, a bleeding nose and two stitches in the back of my head. its not good to be hurt but im thankful that was nothing more serious and at least the public healthcare here is a little good and i didnt need to spent nothing to be taken care of. i would go to the police but the guys said that they would kill me if i go to the police, they know where i live and where i work, im not the bravest guy in the world and also im afraid for my father that lives with me. i dont think that is just in brasil that those things happen, i think it happens all worldwide, theres always going to be a meathead, or a steroid gym rat that will do these kinds of things. I dont know if they attacked me because im a brony or because there was a rainbow in my shirt, but right now theres nothing more i can do than just hope that that was the first and last time and stay away for those guys, i'm already on a building that is far away from where i know that they frequently go. Thanks again for the suport, hugs to everyone, you made me feel better and safe among you all *glomps everypony*
You guys keep praising Hasbro, but they are still a corporation who's primary motivation is money. I'm pretty sure Hasbro was expecting MLP:FiM to just be a dumb show as unintelligent as Thomas the Tank Engine or something. It's just that the creative director they hired turned out to really care about the show and saw it as an opportunity to make something great and not garbage with no motivation but to sell toys. Any what Hasbro does deserve praise for is that they, as far as we know, haven't filed any copyright lawsuits or tried to shut down third party manufacturers. But with what I've learned about how corporations work, they are pretty much incapable of good for the sake of good. In corporations the bottom line is profit, no matter the cost to safety and working conditions (only laws make them not throw safety out the window). So personally think the only reason Hasbro has left us alone is because we are actually helping them make money. Sorry I'm a pessimist.
Bronies originated on the same network as Anonymous and lulzsec. With the Sony debacle still fresh in our heads, I think they know not poke a slumbering beast. I think fear will keep them in an open mindset whether they want it or not. They could take the route we all expect them to and try to force their hand but this could be a major breakthrough for how all companies deal with their fans. It's their move. They can be the stereotypical, money grubbing company like Sony or they can continue to communicate with their fans, allowing them to feel more important like Valve. I hope they chose the latter but we'll see. This is an amazing opportunity to make more money and you catch more flies with honey. PS, I don't condone hacking. Don't think I was and don't do it
