Silence stood up slowly to get to the mare's level. ''Okay. Let's restart. If you don't want to talk about it, fine by me. Do you remember anything before you arrived here?''
"Noooo..." the mare cooed. "I can't say I do. I have trouble remembering things these days. I remember being taken to a new old folks they just built." "I don't remember much of anything either. I think there was a... school?" pondered the filly.
Silence's smile died, her ears falled on the side of her head. ''All i do remember is the one i couldn't save tearing my neck and...'' She stopped there, on the verge of tears. ''I think it's best i forget about it. I know it's been at least a few weeks it happened. When i woke up, i thought it was a dream. But reality has it's way to remember you how weak and helpless you are in this world. All i could do, all i knew wouldn't help him. I failed.'' She looked right in the filly's eyes. ''Don't let anyone think that you're weak. When i was your age, i remember thoses bullies when i earned my cutie mark. They thought i wanted to replace the princess, and had their way to make me remember how i'd never be strong. So, don't take that path. Stay strong. I'll get you all out of here, even if i can never see the sun again.''
"Oh. I see."the Filly said, shying away little at the seriousness of the conversation. "I think I'll talk to Quark..." She bounced her way over to Quark. Watching the conversation between them seemed one-sided, as Quark just kept quiet.
Silence looked at the mare, and sighed. She just lost her translator. She looked at the Mare, and got an idea. She took a few seconds to focus, then a trail of golden magic wrote down, ''Here, is it readable?''
Silence smiled widely. She carefully moved the ribbon, extending it by the same way, to write, ''Well, i've found a good alternative to communicate. Now, would you answer to that question that's been on my mind since the begining: I'm afraid i haven't caught your name yet...''
"I said my name was Antiquis. I wasn't speaking too softly was I?" She shuffled around a little uncomfortably. "Oh dearie, I hope you're not hard hearing too now..."
Silence chuckled. The ribbon flashed, but she was able to maintain it, and quickly shaping it to write, ''I had misheard it. Sorry. Antiquis, it's a pleasure to meet you and your niece. I hope we can face what's going to happen together, and that i'll make you two get out of here.''. Her pendant, up to there showing a golen light, flashed white a few times before Silence couldn't keep the ribbon up anymore. She held a hoof to her horn, a pained expression on her face.
"Oh?" Anti trotted over, comforting the pain stricken Silence. "There, there dearie. Everything will be okay, I might be able to loan you some painkillers... I think the little dearie might have some of mine... I don't think she's my niece though..."
Silence cocked an eyebrow, while trying to ignore the pain. She used a bit of magic, and her efforts on the power-suited pony had drained her a lot. She mouthed, ''I'll be alright. But, why is the filly calling you her Aunt?'' She gasped as another wave of pain came at her, and pressed her left front hoof on her temple, trying to calm the headache. Her pendant stopped flashing, but turned into a dull, rusty color. ''And thanks, but no thanks. I won't need the pankillers, it won't last long. I'm used to those headaches anyway.''
"I don't quite know..." She cocked her head. "She just started calling me Auntie Anti when I woke up the elevator. Even she couldn't explain why. She says she just saw me and thought 'Hey, that's Auntie Anti.'"
After a few seconds, the pain went away completely, leaving Silence a little pale. She mouthed, ''Maybe she got emotionnaly attached to you. It's a good thing, seeing our current postition. Makes me think... What's written on your bracelet?''
She looked down at her bracelet. "It says... '3 Pair' in green I think... The little filly said hers was also '3 pair' in green."
Silence shown her to Anti. ''I'm really getting worried here. That power-suited amnesic has 'Solo' instead of 'Pair', and is alone. I'd assume you two pressed the ally button, then?''
She looked over Trucy then over at her room. "Oh. N-No, the screen wasn't on, so I don't think the buttons would've done anything."
Silence looked at the filly, her expression remaining neutral. ''She was already awake when you came to your senses.''
"Yes, yes she was. Bright eyed and confused, but still somewhat cheery." she sighed. "I wish I was her age again... Oh the fruits of youth..." her eyes began to trail off into the distance.
She kept looking at the filly. She humected her lips before mouthing again, ''Thanks for answering my questions, Antiqus. I'll try to get aquainted with the others. Do you want to join me?''
