"Nope." K shook his head. "I guess I'm just big enough to hide behind..." He solemnly looked down after finishing his sentence, regretting it. Quirk scowled at K a little. "Sh-sh-she was just... It w-w-was..." He visible struggles with the words before blurting out: "I'mterrifiedtotalktoher." "I'm Tucy..." She said quietly. "And this is Auntie Anti..."
Silence put a hoof on the colt's shoulder, and hummed a soft song before mouthing, ''Just relax, there's nothing to be afraid of. Looking at our situation right now, i don't think she'll do anything against you.'' Meanwhile, she re-wrote the ribbon, ''What do you mean? Hide behind what?''
K stated at Silence, seemingly dumbfounded from under his armor by her. "Surely you're joking..." "I'm 10... I think... I can't quite put my hoof on it..." Trucy pondered.
Silence smiled brightly, and shaped the ribbon again. ''Jokins is an understatement. Come on, cheer up! We'll all get out of here, i swear. I was scared at first, but now, i'm positive we can overcome every challenge the creepy pony might throw at us!'' While he was reading, her pendant's glow turned a fuschia pink.
"I guess you're rig-" he treid to say before he was cut of by the disturbing voice on the intercom system. "Hurry, hurry darlings! the game's going to start in a few moments and I might not have enough time to explain the rules, so get acquainted quickly!" it piped over the intercom in the disturbing perky voice. Trucy shook a little for announcement. "I don't really want to play the scary mare's game..."
Silence's expression hardened. Her pendant turned a dull silver, and her ribbon vanished. She looked at Qwark and K, and mouthed, ''I'll go see Eris. Stay paired with the ones you got out of your elevator with, and remember: We'll do this together. There's no point in dying here, and if one of us should die, let it be me.'' She turned to Eris, and slowly trotted to her, trying to listen to every sound that might come from the exterior of the room.
Eris gave her an encouraging smile. "Don't lose courage, Trucy. In a dark place, if you have courage, it can light even the gloomiest of corners."
"T-Thanks." her face began to shine a little from the happiness. She looked up and saw Silence approaching, the shine faded away. "Oh... Your friend wants, you I think..."
"C'mon, let's go talk to her. Okay?" Eris noticed the hesitating look. "Silence is just trying to be courageous, Trucy, just like you are. Give her another chance, okay?"
"I-I can try, but the voice over the PA system we need to hurry..." She looked over back at Silence. "You go on with out me for right now. We can talk afterwords."
Silence looked at her hooves, and sighed before looking at the filly. ''I'm sorry. I just... '' She walked back a few steps, her pendant turning a dull deep blue, and sat there, waiting for Eris.
Silence sadly smiled at Eris. ''She's scared of me, 'Because magic'. They always avoid me when i want to help them...''
Anger flashed over Eris' eyes. "She's nt afraid of you because of 'magic.' She scared of you because you tricked her into thinking she was teleported to a place where she was all alone. Thanks to this place, it's reasonable for her to have wondered what was going to happen to her there. If she was afraid of magic, she would have been afraid of me!" said Eris, the strain of the situation clearly getting to her.
Silence looked down. A ribbon of magic wrote, ''I know already know i scared her. I taught she'd just be surprised and cause a small diversion, for that colt to go away. He was incomfortable with her. That is all.'' Her pendant lost his color, and simply remained dull.
(I assuming you two are waiting are you waiting.) A projection of a cartoonish, puppet-like parody of Celestia was projected on the wall next the large gray door. “Ah, it’s about time!” it flapped in its perky voice. “I was beginning to think I would have start the game a let all of wander around cluelessly. Ah, oh well, I cut this down for time sakes. ANYHOW, WELCOME TO THE NONARY GAMES: AMBIDEX EDITION! I AM SOLARIA AND I WILL BE YOUR REFEREE! As you can tell, you all already fill up the nonary part. Eight of you have been chosen to play this wonderful game, the other one is the wonderful creator of me and this game. I know, I know, you want me to keep you anonymous, so I’ll call you ‘Zero’ for the time being… Oh, shoot, we’re running behind schedule. Sorry Zero-poo, I have to cut this shorter.” “There are three doors that are about open: The Blue, Red, and Green doors. They’ll open in about 5 minutes. They’ll stay open for about 2 extra minutes but they’ll close after that. Anypony outside of the doors when they close gets penalized! Only people with certain wrist watches can go through certain doors. A red pair would have to go through the red door. A blue pair would have to go through the blue door, and so on. The solos can go through whatever door they want. BUT ONLY 3 PONIES TO A DOOR!” “Anyhow, once you’re on the other side, you’ll have to find 2 special cards hidden that room. Those will get explained later, with A LOT of other things too. You’ll have about 40 minutes to find the cards before the doors re open and you all shuffle back into here. You’ll have a leisurely 20 minutes to shuffle back here before you’re penalized! We’re at about… 2 minutes left till the doors open. OOOOOOO, you all better be getting into places! I would explain more, but a couple of ponies were taking there time! You all have a nice trap!” The projection dissipated as Trucy and Anti hobbled over the green door while Gumhoof and Primema trotted over to the Blue door. The others with "Solo" on their wrists seem to line up with each other in the center of the room.
Silence gazed at the green door, then at the two other ''solo ponies''. Her mind was racing. If this game was dangerous, Eris and her would need the combat-geared amnesic pony to follow you. But, on the other hoof, that colt won't go with Trucy- and you'd prefer him to stay at your side, a kind of maternal protective instinct or something like that. She looked at Eris, and tilted her head towards the colt.
