    Parents refusing to crush their children's dreams is why we have so many kids thinking that they're going to grow up to be actors, singers, and sports stars.

    "Crushing dreams" is wrong. Now, if you mean getting your children to make more reasonable short term goals instead of a big, unreasonable long term goal, then yes. Instead of trying to get into a movie, try getting into a local play. Instead of becoming a rock star, try a garage band first.
